Cornwall Borough

Theft – A Lancaster man reported Tuesday that sometime in the last month a 35 year old dogwood tree valued at $500.00 was cut down by unknown person(s) on property he owns along SR 72 across from Spring Hill Lane.

Deer Struck – A 64 year old Lebanon man struck a deer Wednesday, 10:56 AM, on SR 72 north at the SR 117 exit. No injuries. Vehicle was drivable.  The deer had to be destroyed.

Hit & Run – Occurred Monday, 3:47 PM, at the intersection of Boyd Street & Anthracite Road. A 30 year old Myerstown woman was traveling east on Boyd Street when a westbound vehicle crossed into his lane and struck his vehicle, causing the driver’s door mirror to shatter and spray him with glass fragments. The striking vehicle, a maroon in color sedan, did not stop and fled traveling west on Boyd Street. She was treated at the scene by EMS personnel for cuts caused by the flying glass.  Investigation continues to identify the fleeing driver.

A 19 year old Florida man backed out of parking space and hit a 56 year old Lebanon man. Minor damage to vehicles, no injuries.

KOHL’S DEPARTMENT STORE

A 20 year old Lebanon man was cited for retail theft after he took a pair of Nike shoes without paying the value of $19.99 for the shoes. In addition, he was charged with Receiving Stolen Property, fraudulent use/removal of registration plate and related traffic offenses.

South Lebanon Township

Suspicious Person – Charges of Loitering and Prowling at Night Time have been filed against Thomas George McCoy, age 32, of unknown permanent address, after South Lebanon Township police investigated a report of a suspicious person who entered onto a property in the 600 block of Worth Street on May 16 around 8:50am.

West Cornwall Township

Accident – Occurred Monday, 2:11 PM, in the 200 block of SR 117. A 21 year old Bernville woman was traveling east on SR 117, lost control of her vehicle and ran off the roadway coming to rest against boulders. She was transported to Well Span Good Samaritan for treatment of injuries. Her vehicle was towed. Charges are pending completion of the investigation.

Accident – Occurred Monday, 2:50 PM, on Pinch Road near Muhlenberg Avenue. A 21 year old Lancaster woman was traveling south when she swerved to avoid a vehicle that came into her lane. She struck a ditch on the side of the roadway which caused her to lose control of her vehicle and strike a stone wall. She was not injured. Her vehicle was towed.
