For quite some time, there have been rumors circulating that Starbucks, the ubiquitous, Seattle-based coffee chain, would be coming to North Cornwall township on the land previously occupied by Penn Turf.

Update August 8: This story was also confirmed by the Daily News.

LebTown reached out to North Cornwall Township Manager Tom Long, who was able to confirm that both Starbucks and made-to-order pizza chain MOD Pizza would be coming to the location.

Construction in progress at the site, located at 1501 Quentin Road, Lebanon, PA 17042.

According to Long, one building will be built that will house both businesses.

Starbucks currently has locations, well, practically everywhere, with the nearest being a pair of stores in Hershey; at the Hershey Outlets and on Chocolate Avenue respectively.

This will be Starbucks’ first foray into Lebanon County, aside from one location at the Lawn Service Plaza on the Pennsylvania Turnpike.

MOD specializes in fast-fired made-to-order pizzas and got it’s start back in 2008. Just like their soon-to-be next-door neighbor, Starbucks, the company got its start in Seattle.

A representative from MOD stated that pizza chain’s Lebanon location will open in January 2020.

Currently the nearest MOD location is at The Shoppes at Belmont along Fruitville Pike in Lancaster.

LebTown also reached out to Starbucks for comment on this story, but received no response.

Construction at the site is currently underway.
