A series of leadership shake-ups will see the departure of First Aid and Safety Patrol’s Executive Director Bryan Smith in order to take a new job with Lebanon County Christian Ministries.

Late last week, First Aid and Safety Patrol announced the resignation of Smith, who has served with FASP for the past 24 years (11 as executive director). Smith will continue to work with the FASP staff until September 7.

“We will miss Bryan who has helped the organization grow to over 32,000 responses per year. However, we know we have the personnel in place to continue the excellent service the Community has come to expect,” said FASP board member Ed Price in a press release.

The FASP Board of Directors plans to elevate two existing FASP employees to handle operations on an interim basis of three to six months.

Smith’s resignation announcement preceded a release by Lebanon County Christian Ministries which shared that Smith had been hired as their new Executive Director, taking over for Troy Williams who served in the role for nearly 15 years.

“Bryan is a man of integrity and sincerity,” Williams said of his successor. “He loves Jesus and loves our community. I am confident that Bryan will lead LCCM into new heights and help the ministry move forward in accomplishing its mission.”

Smith is a Lebanon native who resides with his family in Cornwall. He has served on the Cornwall-Lebanon School Board for the last four years. Prior to that, he served two full terms on the Leadership Lebanon Valley Board.

“I am excited for the new opportunity to impact this community, share God’s love with the community, and equip people to provide for their own basic functional needs,” said Smith in a statement released by LCCM.

“I began my career at FASP in 1995 as a part-time EMT just out of high school,” he continued. “And now, twenty-four years later, I leave FASP in a time where we are garnishing community support and leveraging relationships to take FASP to the next level. I am excited to watch what the talented team at FASP will do next.”

Smith’s first day with LCCM will be September 9.
