Giant Food Stores will reopen the former Musser’s Market store in Lebanon as a Giant next Friday, Nov. 1.
Although the Musser’s Market sign was still present when we visited last week, there were plenty of contractors moving about the site and a Giant spokesperson tells us that as of today, the Nov. 1 opening date still stands.

Starting at 8 a.m. next Friday, customers will be able to shop at the 1750 Quentin Road store, with operating hours of 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. seven days a week from that point on. A ribbon-cutting ceremony will be held at 7:40 a.m. The first 200 customers in line will be given a reusable Giant shopping bag with product samples, as well as 200 Giant Choice Rewards points and other coupons.
Perhaps the biggest news in the company’s release was that Giant will be offering some Musser’s “customer favorites” like the bakery cookies, pork sausages, and the chicken salad.
“We know how important these stores are to their local communities and it’s our privilege to be able to serve our new neighbors,” said Giant President Nicholas Bertram in the release.
Kim O’Hara will be the store manager of the new Lebanon Giant. O’Hara has worked in the grocery industry for 16 years.
