Each day throughout Lebanon County, nonprofit organizations are mobilizing scarce resources for a great impact. Feeding hungry families, holding hands during difficult times, giving care to children and adults, and making our communities safer and healthier. Year after year, our nonprofit organizations and the superheroes who power them find ways to do more with less. On Giving Tuesday, December 3, 2019, join 20 local, Lebanon nonprofits in a giving event that will last until the end of the year, and help them to make a difference.

The Lebanon Gives event calls on our community to pool our resources for collective change. The goal of this fundraising initiative is simple. We want to raise $20,000 to support our Lebanon County nonprofits by 2020. We also want to collect 2,020 examples of how Lebanon County Residents give their time. Together, we can do more than we ever could apart.

The 20 #LebanonGives nonprofit organizations joined forces to plan a community event that will celebrate their powerful work, and the joy of giving back to a community we love. The event will launch on December 3rd at the Lebanon Valley Family YMCA on 7th Street, where we invite our community to join us for a radio broadcast, food trucks, and vendor tables for the nonprofit organizations and local sponsors. There will be two times to attend the Giving Tuesday event, 7-10 am and 4-7 pm.

The Lebanon United Way will be hosting a text-to-give opportunity, and tracking online donations made to this collective cause. At any time until the end of the year, community members can text “Lebanon” to 91999 or follow the link to the online giving form. Community members can track the progress live through an online thermometer which shows you the real time measure of how much #LebanonGives has raised.

Community members may also visit the #LebanonGives vendor booth at the Lebanon Farmers Market on two Saturdays during the holiday season: Saturday November 30 and Saturday December 14. The #LebanonGives nonprofits will host a basket raffle at the market, with prizes drawn on December 16 – just in time for last minute gifting for the holiday season. Participants can purchase 15 raffle chances for $10 during regular market hours.

The 20 organizations involved in #LebanonGives include: Lebanon Valley Family YMCA; SARCC; United Way of Lebanon County; Lebanon County Christian Ministries; Lebanon Rescue Mission; Lebanon Community Library; Making A Difference of Lebanon, PA; Quest; Jubilee Ministries; DDS; Compeer; DVI; RSVP Retired Seniors Volunteer Program; Lebanon Conservancy; Friends of Coleman Memorial; YMCA Camp Shand; Habitat for Humanity; Halcyon; Lebanon Family Health Services; and Power Packs.

The goal of #LebanonGives is to rally our community to go over and above regular year-end giving. #LebanonGives is asking our community to go the extra mile by showing your love for Lebanon. We invite you to join our big giving event by donating, purchasing raffle tickets, or sending examples of the ways you give back to Lebanon to any of our participating nonprofit partners. Lebanon Gives launches on December 3, 2019 and carries through the end of the year. Be a superhero for 20 great causes and show how #LebanonGives.
