Last week WLBR pulled “On Air” with Laura LeBeau from their programming.

Laura, agree or disagree with her politically, was fair, objective, called out inconsistencies and double-standards on all sides, was never seduced by conspiracy theories, knew how to judge, evaluate and compare information and had the superpower to change a steadfast, psychologically comfortable view when new, valid information was presented. She could think critically from different points of view and challenged her audience to do the same. Laura was respectful to her callers, even when they were not respectful to her and had no problem holding our elected officials and community leaders accountable.
Local radio is so important. Our area will be worse off without Laura and the community she cultivated. I will miss her and her show greatly. She was a voice of reason in an increasingly unreasonable world. To Laura and her staff, thank you for everything!
