Bethel Township

Criminal Mischief Under $1,000 – On May 18, 2020 at approximately 5:19 p.m., investigating troopers responded to the report of Criminal Mischief which occurred in Fredericksburg, Bethel Twp. Unknown Suspect(s) arrived by unknown means on the 100 block of North Mechanic St., the 100 block of East Main St., the 100 block of Walnut St., and a roadway located east of the 100 block of West Main St., all within Bethel Twp. The Suspect(s) then vandalized two residential homes, a daycare center, and a local roadway by spray painting vulgar words, images, and shapes. The Suspect(s) then fled the area by unknown means to an unknown location. The Victims were a 32 year old Fredericksburg woman, a 32 year old Fredericksburg man, a 69 year old Lebanon man, and a 50 year old Fredericksburg woman.

Heidelberg Township

Death From Natural Causes – This incident occurred on May 29, 2020 at 6:15 a.m., as the Victim, a 71 year old Myerstown man, did walk into the first-floor bathroom of his residence, located on East Reistville Rd., with his wife. Upon entering the bathroom, the Victim began to get dressed. While the Victim was attempting to get dressed, he became unresponsive and collapsed to the floor of the bathroom. 911 was contacted and EMS arrived on scene and began CPR. The Victim was pronounced dead from what appeared to be natural causes.

Theft – On May 28, 2020 at 12:09 p.m., PSP Jonestown troopers responded to Zion United Methodist Church, located at 1279 Heidelberg Ave. for a theft. Upon further investigation, it was discovered that between April 1, 2020 and May 27, 2020, a bronze plaque with “in memory of Abram Reilly Wagner” inscribed on the front was stolen. The plaque is approximately valued at $325. Anyone with any information regarding this incident is requested to contact PSP Jonestown.

Theft – On May 26, 2020 at 9:33 a.m., a Heidelberg Township man reported a theft of fuel that took place on his residence, located on the 4,000 block of Stiegel Pike. He related that he observed two of his vehicles with near-empty gas tanks and one with the gas cap left open. He also noticed that he was missing three gas cans from his garage. He related that one of his employees had not shown up to work that day and assumes that he could be involved.

Jackson Township

Criminal/Simple Trespass – On May 25, 2020 at 5:31 p.m., four individuals, two males and two females, drove a Utility Task Vehicle (UTV) up Steven Spohn’s property, on the 00 block of Fredricks Ln. The entrance of the roadway to the private property was blocked by wooden barriers and posted with no trespassing signs posted. The two male individuals took down the wooden barrier and continued to drive the UTV onto the property. Upon leaving the property, one of the individuals exposed himself purposely to a security camera. Security footage captured the entire event. PSP is investigating.

Lebanon City

Disorderly Conduct – Michael Porvaznik, a 40 year old Lebanon resident, has been cited for Disorderly Conduct on May 26, 2020 at 9:45 a.m. on the 400 block of North 10th St.

Simple Assault – Melody Peiffer, a 32 year old Lebanon resident, has been charged with Simple Assault (domestic violence related) after an incident on May 27, 2020 at 2:12 a.m. on the 900 block of Guilford St. After a verbal argument, Peiffer is accused of throwing a metal object at the 33 year old victim causing injury to his face. She was transported to LCCB and arraigned before MDJ Carl Garver. Peiffer was released on $10,000 unsecured bail.

Dogs Running at Large – A 37 year old Lebanon resident has been cited for Dogs Running at Large on May 25, 2020 at 8:11 p.m. on the 400 block of North 12th St.

Protection From Abuse Order Violation – James Douglas, a 47 year old Lebanon resident, has been charged with a Protection From Abuse Order violation on May 28, 2020 at 8:38 p.m. on the 100 block of East Cumberland St. Douglas made contact with the 46 year old victim at the victim’s home after an emergency PFA had been served on Douglas. The victim was not injured. Douglas was apprehended and transported to LCCB. He was arraigned before MDJ Carl Garver and incarcerated at LCCF in lieu of $25,000 bail.

Possession Of A Controlled Substance – A charge of Possession of a Controlled Substance has been filed against Julio Nunez-Rios, a 31 year old Lebanon resident, after police allege he was in possession of a controlled substance when arrested on a Lebanon County Bench Warrant on Feb. 7, 2020 at 10:30 a.m. on the 00 block of North 6th St. As a result of the same incident, Hector Baez-Crespo, a 21 year old with no permanent address, was apprehended on a Lebanon County Bench Warrant and also found in possession of a controlled substance. A charge of Possession of a Controlled Substance has been filed as he was incarcerated at LCCF with Nunez due to the bench warrants.

North Londonderry Township

Traffic Citations – Fred Dixon, a 42 year old Chester man, was charged for leaving the scene of an accident after a vehicle he was driving struck another occupied vehicle on May 5, 2020. Dixon’s license was also suspended at the time of the crash.

Township Ordinance-Nuisances – A 34 year old Annville woman was cited with a Township Ordinance-Nuisances on May 7, 2020 at 4:05 p.m. after she allowed an accumulation of trash on her property and failed to clean it up after being previously warned.

Palmyra

Vehicle Accident – On May 30, 2020 at 11:40 a.m., a 38 year old Palmyra man was involved in a motor vehicle accident at Forge Rd. and Fir St. after he attempted to avoid striking the rear of another vehicle while traveling north on Forge Rd. on his motorcycle. He was thrown from his motorcycle and sustained moderate injuries. He was transported to the Hershey Medical Center. No other vehicles were involved.

South Lebanon Township

Harassment – On May 15, 2020 at 2:25 p.m., members from PSP Jonestown are investigating a reported harassment incident. It was reported that an inmate pushed another inmate during a verbal argument. The victim was a 30 year old Winchester, VA woman. The investigation is ongoing.

Swatara Township

DUI Crash – On May 22, 2020 at 4:44 p.m., PSP Jonestown troopers responded to the 100 block of Old Jonestown Rd. for a single vehicle roll over crash. While investigating the crash, the Operator of the vehicle was determined to be suspected of driving under the influence of alcohol. A 1999 Toyota RAV4 was involved.

West Cornwall Township

Ordinance Violation – A 33 year old Lancaster man and a 44 year old Landisville woman have been cited for violating the Lebanon County Parks ordinance on May 16, 2020 at 12:23 p.m., at Clarence Schock Memorial Park at Governor Dick. Both were cited after being apprehended by the Park Ranger for mountain biking on a posted “foot travel only” trail.
