Bethel Township

Vehicle Accident – On March 1, 2021 at approximately 7:12 a.m., PSP Jonestown responded to a reported crash on SR 22 and Fredericksburg Rd. This three-vehicle crash occurred as Unit 1, a 2016 Mack Trucks, driven by Operator 1, a 24 year old Pennsburg man, was traveling west on SR 22 and stopped on the left turn lane to head south on Fredericksburg Rd. Unit 2, a 2021 Volvo 780 Series, driven by Operator 2, a 50 year old Temple man, and Unit 3, a 2016 Subaru Legacy, driven by Operator 3, a 37 year old Lebanon man, were traveling east on SR 22 with Unit 2 on the left lane and Unit 3 was on the right lane. Unit 1 conducted a left turn on a red signal and struck Unit 2 which subsequently pushed Unit 2 into Unit 3. Units 1 and 2 became disabled at the intersection of SR 22 and Fredericksburg Rd. and Unit 3 struck the concrete pad and traffic control device. Operator 1 and Operator 2 were not injured as a result of this crash. Operator 3 was transported via Life Lion to the Hershey Medical Center for non-life-threatening injuries.

Vehicle Accident – On Feb. 27, 2021 at 5:13 a.m., this crash occurred on I 81 North at mile marker 95.6 in Bethel Twp. This crash occurred as Unit 1, a 2013 General Motors Corp Acadia, driven by Operator 1, a 41 year old Falls Church man, was traveling north in the left lane in snowy condition. Unit 1 began to slide on the slushy roadway and veered off onto the right shoulder. As Unit 1 slid, it impacted a snowbank which caused it to rollover. Unit 1 came to final rest on the right shoulder. There were no injuries in the crash. Operator 1 was cited for Driving on Roadways Laned for Traffic.

East Hanover Township

Theft – Sometime between March 1, 2021 at 12:00 p.m. and March 2, 2021 at 2:00 p.m., unknown Actor(s) entered the property at Allentown Blvd. The unknown Actor(s) proceeded to remove two shovels and one pickaxe, before fleeing the scene by unknown means in an unknown direction of travel. The Victim was a 48 year old Grantville man. The stolen property included a Metal Shovel, valued at $75.00, and a Black Metal Pickaxe, valued at $50.00.

Jackson Township

Vehicle Accident – On Feb. 28, 2021 at 9:30 a.m., this crash occurred at the intersection of SR 501 and King St. in Jackson Twp. This crash occurred as Unit 2, a 2010 Chevrolet Silverado, was traveling north on SR 501 attempting to negotiate a lefthand turn onto King St. Unit 1, a 2012 Chevrolet Malibu, was at the properly erect stop sign located on King St. Unit 1 attempted to make a lefthand turn on SR 501 and travel north as Unit 2 was attempting to turn left onto King St. Unit 1 subsequently struck Unit 2. Unit 2 sustained minor contact damage to the driver’s side rear door. Unit 1 sustained minor contact damage to the front bumper. Operator 1 drove Unit 1 from the scene. Operator 2 did not feel safe driving Unit 2 and requested a tow. C.J. Wagner’s was then contacted to tow Unit 2 from the scene. Both Operators reported no injuries as a result of this crash. Operator 1 was cited for Stop Signs and Yield Signs.

Theft By Deception – On Feb. 20, 2021 at approximately 4:33 p.m., troopers from PSP Jonestown were dispatched to investigate an attempted theft by deception on the 00 block of Park View Dr. in Jackson Twp. Upon arrival, troopers learned that the Victim received a phone call regarding a COVID-19 relief grant. During the phone call, an unidentified individual attempted to gather personally identifying information to gain access to the Victim’s funds. The Victim was a 67 year old Myerstown woman. PSP Jonestown is investigating.

Vehicle Accident – On March 1, 2021 at 7:23 p.m., this crash occurred as Unit 2, a 2014 Lexus GX460, driven by Operator 2, a 72 year old Myerstown man, was traveling eastbound on US 422 in the area of Ramona Rd. in Jackson Twp. During this time, Unit 1, described as a motorcycle with an unknown registration, driven by Operator 1, struck Unit 2 in the rear right bumper area. Unit 1 then continued traveling east on US 422 at a high rate of speed without stopping. Unit 2 sustained minor damage to the aforementioned area. Operator 2 was not injured as a result of this crash.

Myerstown Borough

Disorderly Conduct – On Feb. 28, 2021 at approximately 7:29 p.m., troopers from PSP Jonestown were dispatched to the 300 block of West Carpenter Ave. in Myerstown Boro. for a public disturbance. Upon arrival on scene, troopers learned that a white, non-Hispanic male arrived at the above listed address and began knocking on the doors and windows. The man was yelling obscenities and acting erratically. He then grabbed a long metallic object from the trunk of his vehicle and proceeded to use said object to break the taillights of his own vehicle. The man then got back into his vehicle and fled the scene before police arrival. The Arrestee was a 29 year old Newmanstown man. He was subsequently cited with Disorderly Conduct. All charges were filed within MDJ 52-3-01.

North Lebanon Township

Drug Possession – Omar Aquino, a 19 year old Lebanon resident, was charged with Possession of Marijuana after a traffic stop on Feb. 21, 2021 at Route 72 and North 22nd St.

North Londonderry Township

Simple Assault – A 15 year old female juvenile was charged with Simple Assault stemming from a fight that occurred on Feb. 25, 2021 at 10:30 a.m. at the Palmyra Area High School. The Victim, a 15 year old female, sustained a bruised eye and multiple lumps on the backside of her head. Charges are filed.

Harassment – On Feb. 26, 2021 at 1:37 p.m., North Londonderry Twp. police cited a 54 year old Ashland resident, with Harassment, when she continued to contact the Victim on her Instagram account. After being verbally directed by a police officer not to contact the Victim in any manner. This incident occurred on the 300 block of Fir St. in Palmyra.

Swatara Township

Simple Assault – On Feb. 28, 2021 at 5:24 p.m., PSP Jonestown responded to Thompson Ave. for a reported domestic in progress call. Investigation revealed that the Arrestee threatened her husband with a crowbar. The female was arrested for Simple Assault. The Arrestee was a 59 year old Lebanon woman. The Victim was a 62 year old Lebanon man.

Vehicle Accident – On Feb. 27, 2021 at 5:58 a.m., this single-vehicle crash occurred on I 81 Southbound in the area of mile marker 93.0. This crash occurred when Unit 1, a 2004 Chevrolet Venture, driven by Operator 1, a 34 year old Shenandoah man, accompanied by Passenger 1, an 18 year old Shenandoah man, Passenger 2, a 17 year old Shenandoah male, and Passenger 3, a 16 year old Shenandoah female, was traveling southbound in the left lane of I 81. Operator 1 lost control of Unit 1 and subsequently left the left side of the highway into the median. Unit 1 then came to final rest facing northwest in the median off of the left shoulder of I 81 Southbound. Unit 1 rolled over and sustained disabling damage to its front end, roof, and windshield. Unit 1 was towed from the scene by Motter’s Towing Company. Penn State Life Lion EMS responded and evaluated all four Occupants of the vehicle. None of the Occupants reported any injuries as a result of this crash. Operator 1 was cited for Driving on Roadways Laned for Traffic.
