Myerstown’s Bayer Corporation plant, located just off Route 501, is looking to immediately hire over 40 full-time 2nd and 3rd shift employees.

The packaging jobs will pay $23.00 per hour and come with benefits and a $2,000 sign-on bonus, according to the company.

The company’s press release says that the new positions will offer “compensation and benefits, safety-first environment and extensive COVID-19 protocols, training and development opportunities and a collaborative environment driven by teamwork.”

Benefits include medical, dental, vision, and prescriptions.

Bayer Myerstown is the global company’s one and only North American producer of a variety of non-prescription medicines and dietary supplements used by consumers throughout the U.S. and Canada.

In mid-2020, Bayer Myerstown was employing about 600 permanent and temporary workers, but plant manager John Caruso had predicted a surge in the workforce due to COVID-related demand.
