Lebanon Transit is making sure that transportation isn’t an obstacle by offering free bus rides to anyone with a COVID-19 vaccination appointment at any vaccination site.

Customers just have to tell their bus driver when boarding that they are headed to a vaccination appointment. When boarding after their appointment, showing their vaccination card will get them a free trip home.

Customers on their way to their second dose will need to show their vaccination card from their previous appointment.

LT is also teaming up with the Lebanon County Area Agency on Aging to give free Shared Ride trips to registered riders 65 and over. Registration is free by calling 717-274-3514.

Lebanon County recently opened its mass vaccination site at 1745 Quentin Road, Lebanon, in the old Kmart store.

At Thursday’s Lebanon City Council pre-council meeting, City Councilman and Lebanon County Department of Emergency Services employee Joe Morales announced that about 600 people were vaccinated on Mar. 17 and about 1,200 more on Mar. 18.
