The Lancaster Lebanon Habitat for Humanity has announced three members newly appointed to its 2021 board of directors in a March press release.

The new members are Ryan McCreary of Benchmark Construction, Fred Cluck of Horst Construction, and Carolyn Haskell of WellSpan Philhaven. Additionally, Dante Swinton of Comcast has been appointed to the position of secretary, and Amy Balestier has been promoted to Director of Development and Communications.

Haskell has worked with the organization before on the board and as acting executive director for the Habitat for Humanity Lebanon County branch, which merged with the Lancaster Area Habitat for Humanity in 2016.

Other board members continuing tenure include Dee Cook of the Lebanon County Career and Technology Center, Tene A. Darby of PA Health Management, Amy Dellinger of Brownstone Real Estate, Wayne Gongaware, and Christian Recknagel of TAIT. Swinton will join fellow officers Gary Gaissert of Pleasant View Communities (president), Adrienne Squillace of PNC Bank (vice president), and Mike Monteiro of Benefix (treasurer).

Balestier has worked with the organization as Director of Communications since 2014 and has prior experience as Director of Development for City Parks Foundation in New York City. According to the release, she will lead “an ambitious new fundraising initiative currently in the planning phase, which aims to make a bigger impact on homeownership opportunities in Lancaster and Lebanon Counties.”

Balestier’s position combines her old role with the Director of Development position formerly occupied by William Dewan, who will continue to work with the organization as a grant consultant. Dewan had helped increase grant-funding partnerships and the organization’s Legacy Builders Circle.
