On June 20 at 5 p.m., Governor Dick Park is holding its first Annual Solstice Run, with a 5k and a 10k option.

As of now, the 5k costs $25 and the 10k will cost $30. However, prices will increase June 7. Register online.

The run is presented by the Clarence Schock Memorial Park and the Community Health Council of Lebanon County. It will be a celebration of the start of the summer and will be suitable for beginners and more experienced people, the press release says.

“Choose the 10k if you are interested in conquering our longest and rockiest trail in the park,” suggests the March 15 press release. “Our 5k offers similar rocks and hills, but not quite as many!”

According to the event’s online description, walkers are encouraged to take part in the 5k, but 10k participants are recommended to have trail running experience.
