Beginning June 12, the Lebanon Transit (LT) Shared Ride program will expand its Saturday service to the limits of Lebanon County.
The Shared Ride program is a registration-required curb-to-curb service that takes Lebanon residents to specific requested addresses in the county rather than set stops. Customers must call in advance to schedule their pick-up times.
Shared Ride County service operates 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Hours of operation are longer for service within the City of Lebanon.
The service can be used for any reason. “Customers can go on shopping trips, visit family and friends, run errands, get to medical appointments, the destination is up to you,” explained an LT press release.
While the Shared Ride service is open to anyone, discounts are available for persons with disabilities (PWD) and seniors, with senior fare costing $2.50 and PWD services (pdf) costing $3.00 for less than five miles and $4.00 for more than five miles.
The non-discounted price for the LT Shared Ride is $19.00 for less than five miles, $22.00 for five to ten miles and $26.00 for over ten miles. For more information on LT fares, visit its website here.
