Residential Burglary – PSP Jonestown was dispatched to the 00 block of Creek Dr. regarding a burglary. Upon troopers’ arrival, they observed vehicle parts to be missing from the associated vehicle. This burglary occurred on July 27, 2021 sometime between 8:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m. No suspects are known at this time. Anyone with information is asked to contact PSP Jonestown. The Victim was a 79 year old Fredericksburg man. The stolen property included a Retractable Tonneau Cover, valued at $254.36. The theft from motor vehicles involved a 2013 Honda CRV.

Identity Theft – On July 10, 2021 at approximately 1:36 p.m., troopers from PSP Jonestown responded to the PSP Jonestown Barracks for identity theft reported by a Victim who resides on the 800 block of Pine Grove Rd. in Bethel Twp. Through further investigation, troopers learned that an unidentified person opened an unemployment account in the Victim’s name. No monetary value was reported lost/stolen from the Victim. The U.S. Office of Inspector General – Department of Labor was notified of this particular incident. The Victim was a 48 year old Fredericksburg woman. The stolen property included the Victim’s Personal Info Used For Unemployment Benefits, valued at $0.00.

Theft By Deception, Impersonation – Sometime between July 6, 2021 at 1:37 p.m. and July 13, 2021 at 1:37 p.m., this incident occurred on Mountain Dr. In this incident, an unknown Actor(s) filed for employment in the Victim’s name at Bell and Evans. No monetary loss was reported by the Victim. The report was forwarded to the U.S. Department of Labor. The Victim was a 60 year old Fredericksburg woman. Theft By Deception, Impersonation – On July 12, 2021 at 1:17 p.m., this incident occurred on Greble Rd. In this incident, an unknown Actor(s) filed an unemployment claim in the Victim’s name. Scattering Rubbish – On July 15, 2021 at 3:22 p.m., this incident occurred on East Main St. In this incident, an unidentified W/N/M deposited a single bag of garbage into the dumpster of the Eagle Hotel. The Victim was the Eagle Hotel in Fredericksburg.

Vehicle Accident – On May 29, 2021 at 9:12 p.m., this single-vehicle crash occurred as Unit 1, a 2018 Toyota Corolla, driven by Operator 1, a 28 year old Schuylkill Haven man, was traveling northbound upon Blue Mountain Rd. Unit 1 was traveling too fast for the current weather conditions, and Operator 1 lost control of Unit 1, leaving the roadway. Unit 1 hit a guide rail, mailbox, shrubbery, and a met-ed pole number 37391-41190. Operator 1 was wearing their seatbelt at the time of the crash. Operator 1 sustained suspected minor injuries as a result of this crash but refused transport. Operator 1 was cited for Driving Vehicle at Safe Speed.

Vehicle Accident – On May 7, 2021 at 7:39 p.m., this crash occurred on Exit 8 off of I 78 toward SR 22, nine feet north of US 22 Westbound. The parties involved included Unit 1, a 2006 Chevrolet Tahoe, driven by Operator 1, a 19 year old Bethel man, accompanied by Passenger 1, a 22 year old Bethel man, and Passenger 2, an 11 year old Bethel female. Operator 1, Passenger 1, and Passenger 2 were not using their vehicle’s safety equipment, such as seatbelts, at the time of the crash. Operator 1 sustained suspected serious injuries as a result of this crash and was transported via the Bethel Community Ambulance to the Hershey Medical Center. Passenger 1 sustained injuries of unknown severity as a result of this crash but refused transport. Passenger 2 sustained suspected serious injuries as a result of this crash and was transported via the Myerstown First Aid Unit to the Hershey Medical Center. Operator 1 was cited for Driving Vehicle at Safe Speed.

Vehicle Accident – On May 18, 2021 at 3:32 p.m., this single-vehicle crash occurred as Unit 1, a 2015 Volvo VNL, driven by Operator 1, was traveling northbound on Mount Zion Rd. Unit 1 stopped at a clearly posted stop sign at the intersection of Mount Zion Rd. and Frystown Rd. and then made a right turn onto Frystown Rd. While conducting this movement, Unit 1 struck the stop sign controlling the northbound lane of travel of Mount Zion Rd., which also had a privately-owned Barrel around its base.

Vehicle Accident – On May 28, 2021 at 7:22 p.m., this crash occurred on SR 22 at its intersection with Pine Grove Rd. The parties involved include Unit 1, a 2003 Toyota Tacoma, driven by Operator 1, a 38 year old Waynesboro man, and Unit 2, a 2020 Freightliner Cad, driven by Operator 2, a 55 year old Nazareth man, accompanied by Passenger 1, a 32 year old Waynesboro woman. Operator 1, Operator 2, and Passenger 1 were wearing their seatbelts at the time of the crash. Operator 1, Operator 2, and Passenger 1 did not sustain any injuries as a result of this crash. Operator 1 was cited for Driving on the Right Side of the Roadway.

Vehicle Accident – On May 18, 2021 at 4:34 p.m., this two-vehicle crash occurred as Unit 2, a 2021 Jeep Wrangler, driven by Operator 2, a 41 year old Jonestown woman, was stopped upon SR 343’s northbound lane of travel behind three other unidentified vehicles, awaiting the lead vehicle to complete a left turn onto Pine Meadow Rd. As the lead vehicle completed said turn, Unit 2 began to travel northbound upon SR 343’s northbound lane of travel. Unit 1, a 2013 Subaru Impreza, driven by Operator 1, a 19 year old Hummelstown woman, was traveling upon SR 343’s northbound lane of travel. Unit 1 failed to note the current traffic. Operator 1 and Operator 2 were wearing their seatbelts at the time of the crash. Operator 1 and Operator 2 sustained suspected minor injuries as a result of this crash but refused transport. Operator 1 was cited for Driving Vehicle at Safe Speed.

Identity Theft – On July 22, 2021 at 2:46 p.m., troopers were contacted by the Victim regarding a fraudulent unemployment claim using the Victim’s personal information, including her SSN. The Victim was advised by her employer that they received an application for unemployment compensation earlier in the day. The Victim suffered no financial loss and will be completing the identity theft/unemployment fraud form with the Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry. All information regarding this incident was forwarded to Assistant Special Agent in Charge Syreeta Scott of the U.S. Department of Labor – Office of Inspector General. Anyone who has information regarding this incident or who believes they are a victim of similar circumstances is encouraged to call their local police department or the closest Pennsylvania State Police Barracks. The Victim was a 40 year old Myerstown woman.

Terroristic Threats – On July 29, 2021 at 12:04 a.m., this incident occurred as PSP Jonestown was notified of a bomb threat, made via telephone to staff at the Ace Distribution Center, located at 139 Fredericksburg Rd. in Bethel Twp. The distribution center was evacuated and the area was checked with negative results. Investigation is ongoing. There is no threat to the public at this time. Identity Theft – On July 12, 2021 at 3:35 p.m., PSP Jonestown handled an unemployment scam on the 300 block of Mowery Rd. Upon arrival, the Victim advised that her identity was used to gain unemployment. Thus, no financial loss occurred. This investigation will be completed by the U.S. Department of Labor. The Victim was a 58 year old Fredericksburg woman. The stolen property included Identity, valued at $0.00.

Disorderly Conduct – A 36 year old Lebanon woman has been cited for Disorderly Conduct (loud music) on July 26, 2021 at 12:15 a.m. on the 100 block of North 4th St.

Public Drunkenness – A 56 year old Lebanon man has been cited for Public Drunkenness on July 24, 2021 at 6:20 p.m. on the 1,100 block of Federal St.

East Hanover Township

Vehicle Accident – On July 28, 2021 at 4:05 p.m., this crash occurred as Unit 2, a gray-in-color four-door 2020 Jeep Wrangler bearing PA Registration: LCS-8836, driven by Operator 2, was traveling southbound on SR 934. While Unit 2 was traveling southbound in the left lane of SR 934, Unit 1, a gray-in-color 2018 Jeep Liberty bearing NJ Registration: A30-JXP, driven by Operator 1, attempted to cross the roadway from the exit ramp of I 81 Southbound and into the path of travel of Unit 2. At this time, Unit 2 was struck by Unit 1, causing minor damage to both Unit 1 and Unit 2. Both Units were towed from the scene by Motter’s Towing due to both vehicles sustaining flat tires. Tows were at the Operators’ request. Operator 1 was cited for Obedience to Traffic-Control Devices.

Drug Possession – This incident occurred on SR 22 Westbound near Lincoln School Rd. in East Hanover Twp. A traffic stop was conducted where the Operator was found to be in possession of suspected illegal drugs. This investigation is ongoing.

Identity Theft – On July 16, 2021 at 11:10 a.m., troopers responded to PSP Jonestown to meet with the Victim that related a fraudulent unemployment compensation claim had been opened in her name. The claim, which had been opened by an unknown Actor(s) from an unknown location, used all of her information, including her SSN. The Victim suffered no monetary/financial loss and completed the identity theft/unemployment fraud form with the Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry, in addition to filing identity theft with the Federal Trade Commission. All information was forwarded to Assistant Special Agent in Charge Syreeta Scott of the U.S. Department of Labor – Office of Inspector General for further investigation. Anyone with information or who is a potential victim of a similar incident is asked to call Pennsylvania State Police or their local police department. The Victim was a 50 year old Annville woman. The stolen property included Identity, valued at $0.00.

Sex Abuse Child Photo/Video – Between June 11, 2021 and June 30, 2021, this incident occurred on McGillstown Rd. PSP Jonestown troopers responded to the above-listed address regarding explicit photographs being sent over social media. The Victim was an Annville female. Troopers are investigating.

Heidelberg Township

Vehicle Accident – On July 27, 2021 at 9:30 p.m., this crash occurred on Sunnyside Rd., just west of Hopeland Rd. in Heidelberg Twp. This crash occurred as Operator 1, Derry Weaver, a 49 year old Newmanstown man, and Passenger 1, Sherri Weaver, a 49 year old Newmanstown woman, were traveling west on Sunnyside Rd. in Unit 1, a 2012 BMW 1600. While traveling west on Sunnyside Rd., a deer traversed onto the roadway and into the travel path of Unit 1. Unit 1 subsequently struck the deer. Unit 1 sustained mild damage to its front end and passenger’s side saddle bag as a result of this crash and was driven from the scene in its normal customary manner. Operator 1 and Passenger 1 were wearing their motorcycle helmets at the time of the crash. Operator 1 sustained moderate injuries as a result of this crash and was transported via the Myerstown First Aid Unit to the Hershey Medical Center. Passenger 1 sustained mild injuries as a result of this crash but was not transported.

Vehicle Accident – On July 23, 2021 at 3:25 p.m., this three-vehicle crash occurred as Unit 2, a 2015 Suzuki GSX-S, driven by Operator 2, an 18 year old Newmanstown man, was traveling southbound on Stiegel Pike and slowed to turn left (east) onto Spring Haven Rd. As Unit 2 slowed in the southbound lane of Stiegel Pike to turn left (east), Unit 1, a 2016 Ford Transit, driven by Operator 1, a 42 year old Lititz man, impacted the right side of Unit 2. After the impact of Unit 1 hitting Unit 2, Unit 2 was pushed into the northbound lane of Stiegel Pike, where it was struck by Unit 3, a 2014 Chrysler Town and Country minivan, driven by Operator 3, a 34 year old Richland woman, as Unit 3 traveled north on Stiegel Pike. Operator 1 and Operator 3 were wearing their seatbelts at the time of the crash. Operator 2 was wearing his motorcycle helmet at the time of the crash. Operator 1 and Operator 3 did not sustain any injuries as a result of this crash. Operator 2 sustained suspected serious injuries as a result of this crash and was transported via Schaefferstown EMS to the Lancaster General Hospital. Unit 2 was removed from the scene by a private tow. Unit 1 and Unit 3 were driven from the scene. Operator 1 was cited for Overtaking Vehicle on Right.

Harassment – On July 25, 2021 at 11:39 a.m., this incident occurred on Wood Ln. Throughout the course of this event, a husband and wife were in a physical altercation. The pair are in the process of separation and divorce. The wife/complainant related that the husband struck her with a door. The complainant showed no visible injury. The husband had left the scene prior to PSP arrival. PSP interacted with the husband afterward and observed visible injuries to his one arm. The case is pending further investigation. The Victim was a 59 year old Myerstown woman.

Identity Theft – On July 13, 2021 at 1:11 p.m., PSP Jonestown troopers responded to a report of fraudulent use of their unemployment account. Troopers are investigating. The Victim was a 41 year old Newmanstown woman.

Identity Theft – On July 23, 2021 at 9:08 a.m., the Pennsylvania State Police are investigating a report that the Victim was notified by Equifax that her Social Security Number has been compromised by an unknown Actor(s). Anyone with similar incidents is urged to contact PSP Jonestown station. The Victim was a 56 year old Ephrata woman.

Vehicle Accident – On July 30, 2021 at 5:35 a.m., this crash occurred as Unit 1, a 2003 Volkswagen Jetta, driven by Operator 1, a 19 year old Mohnton man, was traveling eastbound on Distillery Rd. in Heidelberg Twp. While traveling eastbound on Distillery Rd., Operator 1 lost control of Unit 1 while negotiating a lefthand curve and exited the right side of the roadway. Unit 1 then came to final rest against a tree located along the roadway. Operator 1 then fled the scene and left the vehicle abandoned. Unit 1 was towed from the scene by Gilles Miller Towing. It is unknown whether Operator 1 sustained any injuries as a result of this crash. Operator 1 was cited for Driving Vehicle at Safe Speed.

Jackson Township

Vehicle Accident – On July 30, 2021 at 5:29 p.m., this hit-and-run crash occurred when Unit 1, a 2017 Chevrolet CK 2500, driven by Operator 1, a 26 year old Womelsdorf man, hit Unit 2, a 2013 Honda Civic Civic Del Sol, driven by Operator 2, Amanda Moore, a 31 year old Womelsdorf woman, in the vicinity of the 400 block of East Lincoln Ave. in Jackson Twp., as Unit 1 merged in front of Unit 2. Upon arrival, Unit 1 had fled the scene. Upon contact with Operator 1, he related that he was unaware that a crash had occurred. Both Unit 1 and Unit 2 were drivable from the scene. Operator 1 and Operator 2 were both wearing their seatbelts at the time of the crash. Neither Operator 1 nor Operator 2 reported any injuries as a result of this crash. Operator 1 was cited for Drivers Required to be Licensed.

Theft – Sometime between Feb. 15, 2021 at 1:00 a.m. and July 15, 2021 at 12:32 p.m., this incident occurred on North College St. In this incident, the Victim was scammed out of approximately $2,400 by an individual pretending to be a female wanting to come to visit the Victim. The Victim was a 61 year old Myerstown man. The stolen property included a Cash App Transfer, valued at $2,400.00.

Criminal Mischief Under $1,000 – On July 15, 2021 at 12:10 p.m., this incident occurred on North College St. In this incident, the Arrestee was repeatedly told that he had to leave the Roadway Inn after breaking a window in the room that he was staying in. After refusing to leave, he provided a false ID to law enforcement and resisted arrest while being taken into custody. The Arrestee was Javier Villano-Penaford, a 29 year old Myerstown man. The Victims were Rodeway Inn/Suites-Latern Lodg in Myerstown and Plaza Azteca in Myerstown. The damaged property included a Glass Window of Room 36, valued at $200.00.

Vehicle Accident – On June 21, 2021 at 12:04 p.m., this two-vehicle crash occurred as Unit 1, a 2010 Kia Soul, driven by Operator 1, a 36 year old Hesston man, was traveling upon the right lane of the SR 422 Eastbound lane of travel. Unit 2, a 2019 Ford Transit, driven by Operator 2, a 34 year old Hanover man, was traveling upon the left lane of SR 422’s Eastbound lane of travel. Unit 1 failed to merge appropriately and hit Unit 2’s rear passenger’s side. Operator 1 and Operator 2 were wearing their seatbelts at the time of the crash. Operator 1 sustained suspected minor injuries as a result of this crash but were not transported. Operator 2 did not sustain any injuries as a result of this crash. Operator 1 was cited with Turning Movements and Required Signals.

Vehicle Accident – On July 27, 2021 at 4:49 p.m., this two-vehicle crash occurred on SR 645 north and southbound lanes of travel. Unit 1, a 2000 Harley-Davidson Motor Co. whose model was not listed, driven by Operator 1, Matthew Hall, a 32 year old Myerstown man, was traveling northbound and Unit 2, a 2004 Ford Explorer, driven by Operator 2, Gary Hamilton, an 80 year old Myerstown man, was stopped at a clearly posted stop sign controlling the westbound lane of Eisenhauer Rd. Unit 1 approached the intersection of SR 645 and Eisenhauer Rd. and attempted to pass a vehicle by utilizing the opposing lane of travel. Operator 1 sustained suspected minor injuries as a result of this crash and was transported via the Myerstown First Aid Unit to the Hershey Medical Center. Operator 2 did not sustain any injuries as a result of this crash. Operator 1 was cited for Driving on Roadways Laned for Traffic.

DUI – On July 29, 2021 at 6:20 p.m., this incident occurred on North Ramona Rd. and East Kercher Ave. Troopers were contacted by the Victim that related the Arrestee was following him in his vehicle and intentionally struck him multiple times. A traffic stop was initiated on the involved vehicle and troopers determined that the Operator to be under the influence of alcoholic beverages. The Arrestee was transported to the Good Samaritan Hospital for a blood draw. Charges are pending. The Arrestee was Jeffrey Boyer, a 49 year old Lebanon man. The Victim was a 51 year old Myerstown man. The vehicles involved a 2002 Subaru Forester.

Identity Theft – On July 13, 2021 at 9:11 a.m., the Victim contacted PSP Jonestown to report that her identity was used to file a fraudulent unemployment claim. The Victim related that on July 13, 2021, she was contacted by her HR department at Aqua Life Inc., that an unemployment claim was filed using her personal identifying information. The Victim related that her HR denied the claim immediately and she did not suffer any monetary loss. The Victim related that she was going to process a claim through the Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry. The Victim was provided a Victim/Witness Assistance Guide. All information shall be forwarded to Assistant Special Agent in Charge Syreeta Scott of the U.S. Department of Labor. The Victim was a 55 year old Myerstown woman. The stolen property included Personal Identifying Information, valued at $0.00.

Identity Theft – On July 9, 2021, troopers responded to PSP Jonestown to meet with a Victim that related a fraudulent unemployment compensation claim had been opened in her name. The claim, which had been opened by an unknown Actor(s) from an unknown location, used all of her information, including her SSN. The Victim suffered no monetary/financial loss and completed the identity theft/unemployment fraud form with the Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry, in addition to filing identity theft with the Federal Trade Commission. Theft Disposition Of Funds – On July 30, 2021 at 4:54 p.m., troopers responded to Highland Dr. for a report of a theft/fraud. Upon arrival on scene, it was determined that the Victim’s debit card information was used at a local store for multiple purchases. The investigation is ongoing. The Victim was a 72 year old Jonestown man. The stolen property included a JBT Debit Card.

Myerstown Borough

Harassment – On July 27, 2021 at 4:55 p.m., this incident occurred on South Railroad St. In this incident, both involved parties were cited for Harassment following a domestic-related physical altercation. The Victims/Arrestees were a 26 year old Myerstown woman and a 30 year old Lebanon man.

Harassment – Sometime between July 12, 2021 at 4:37 a.m. and July 13, 2021 at 4:13 a.m., troopers were dispatched to the PSP Jonestown Barracks to speak to a resident of Myerstown. Harassment – On July 27, 2021 at 4:55 p.m., this incident occurred on South Railroad St. IN this incident, both involved parties were cited for Harassment following a domestic-related physical altercation. The Victims/Arrestees were a 26 year old Myerstown woman and a 30 year old Lebanon man.

Identity Theft – On July 20, 2021 at 5:19 p.m., troopers were contacted by the Victim regarding a fraudulent unemployment claim made using the Victim’s personal information, including his SSN. The Victim was advised by his employer that they received an application for unemployment compensation earlier in the day. The Victim suffered no financial loss and will be completing the identity theft/unemployment fraud form with the Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry. All information regarding this incident was forwarded to Assistant Special Agent in Charge Syreeta Scott of the U.S. Department of Labor – Office of Inspector General. Anyone who has information regarding this incident or who believes they are a victim of similar circumstances is encouraged to call their local police department or the closest Pennsylvania State Police Barracks. The Victim was a 39 year old Myerstown man.

Harassment – On July 23, 2021 at 12:43 p.m., PSP Jonestown troopers responded to West Jefferson Ave. Through investigation, it was determined that two friends engaged in a physical altercation after an argument. Troopers are investigating. The Victim was a 28 year old Myerstown woman.

Identity Theft – On July 29, 2021 at 2:00 p.m., State Police responded to North College St. for identity theft. Through investigation, it was discovered that an unknown individual filed a fraudulent application for unemployment benefits using the Victim’s personal information. The Victim became aware of this incident when she received a letter in the mail stating her unemployment benefits claim had been denied. The Victim reported no financial loss as a result of this incident. The Victim completed the required unemployment fraud form with the Department of Labor and Industry. The Victim was also provided with information on how to start a recovery plan with the Federal Trade Commission. Syreeta Scott, U.S. Department of Labor, was notified of this incident via email. The Victim was a 62 year old Myerstown woman. The stolen property included the Victim’s Identity.

Theft – On July 14, 2021 at 1:10 p.m., this incident occurred on East Main Ave. This incident occurred as an individual received a fraudulent request from unemployment at their place of employment which was delivered by the USPS. The Victim was a 27 year old Myerstown man. The stolen property included ID Through Unemployment Fraud, valued at $0.00.

North Cornwall Township

Vandalized And Stolen Signs – Between July 28, 2021 at 7:00 p.m. and July 29, 2021 at 7:00 a.m., on Colebrook Rd. in the area of the former WAHT radio station, the Democratic Party paid to erect a Democratic two-sided sign. The signs were stolen from the area. Earlier on July 17, 2021, it was reported that someone spray-painted red letters all over the Democratic-sponsored sign located on Colebrook Rd. Both incidents were reported to the North Cornwall Twp. Police Department. At this time, there are no witnesses. If anyone has seen anyone in the areas, observed anyone doing damage, or has any information, please call the North Cornwall Twp. Police Department at 717-274-0464. Value of loss was $200.00.

Richland Borough

Death Natural – On July 15, 2021 at 9:25 p.m., the Victim was an 80 year old Richland man who lived inside his residence with his wife on the 100 block of Birch St. The Victim had an existing medical condition (cancer). The Victim’s wife found her husband deceased in their living room. The wife contacted Lebanon County 911, who, in return, contacted PSP Jonestown and Myerstown Ambulance. The Victim was pronounced deceased on scene by Doctor Yocum, who was contacted by Myerstown EMS. The Victim was then released to Grose Funeral Home. No foul play or suspicious activity was observed or suspected.

Swatara Township

Prohibited Offensive Weapons – On July 17, 2021 at 6:00 p.m., PSP Jonestown was dispatched to a report of an intoxicated male lying upon the roadway, located at SR 72, just north of Old Jonestown Rd. in Swatara Twp. Upon arrival, the male Subject was found to be intoxicated, uncooperative, and in possession of a prohibited weapon, drugs, and drug paraphernalia. Charges are pending.

Identity Theft – On July 23, 2021 at approximately 2:30 p.m., troopers from PSP Jonestown responded to the PSP Jonestown Barracks for an identity theft reported by a Victim who resides on the 100 block of Greble Rd. in Swatara Twp. Through further investigation, troopers learned that an unidentified person opened an unemployment account in the Victim’s name. No monetary value was reported lost/stolen from the Victim. The U.S. Office of Inspector General – Department of Labor was notified of this particular incident. If anyone has any information pertaining to this investigation, please contact PSP Jonestown at 717-865-2194 and reference incident number PA2021-1010286. The Victim was a 50 year old Jonestown woman. The stolen property included the Victim’s Personal Information Used For Unemployment Benefits, valued at $0.00.

Criminal Mischief Under $1,000 – On July 13, 2021 sometime between 12:00 a.m. and 2:00 a.m., this incident occurred on North Mill St. In this incident, an unknown Actor(s) tampered with the mailboxes of the Victims. The Victims were a 60 year old Jonestown woman, a 29 year old Jonestown man, and a 70 year old Jonestown man. The damaged property included a Broken Wooden Post Support For Mailbox, valued at $20.00, a Metal Mailbox Removed From Post And Stepped On, valued at $40.00, and a Plastic Mailbox Removed From Post, valued at $100.00.

Vehicle Accident – On May 30, 2021 at 3:32 p.m., this crash occurred on I 81 South about 900 feet north of the Appalachian National Scenic Trail. The parties involved include Unit 1, a 2006 Honda Hond-Civic, driven by Operator 1, a 31 year old Riverdale, MD man, accompanied by Passenger 1, a 28 year old Silver Spring, MD man, and Passenger 2, a 34 year old Ellicott City, MD man. Operator 1, Passenger 1, and Passenger 2 were wearing their seatbelts at the time of the crash. Operator 1, Passenger 1, and Passenger 2 sustained suspected minor injuries as a result of this crash but were not transported. Operator 1 was cited for Driving Vehicle at Safe Speed.

Vehicle Accident – On July 17, 2021 at 5:26 p.m., this crash occurred on SR 72 North approximately 400 feet north of Old Jonestown Rd. This crash involved Unit 1, driven by Operator 1, and Unit 2, driven by Operator 2, a 45 year old Lebanon man, accompanied by Passenger 1, a 42 year old Lebanon woman, and Passenger 2, a 73 year old Lebanon woman. Operator 2, Passenger 1, and Passenger 2 were wearing their seatbelts at the time of the crash. Operator 2, Passenger 1, and Passenger 2 did not sustain any injuries as a result of this crash. It is unknown whether Operator 1 sustained any injuries as a result of this crash.

Theft From Building – Sometime between July 4, 2021 at 1:00 a.m. and July 5, 2021 at 11:59 p.m., a report of theft was reported to PSP Jonestown on the 00 block of Darkes Rd. PSP Jonestown is currently investigating. The Victim was a 58 year old Jonestown man. The stolen property included 2 Quarters, 1 Dime, 1 Bag Of Pennies, valued at $0.61.

Criminal Mischief Under $1,000 – On July 30, 2021 sometime between 1:00 a.m. and 2:00 a.m., PSP Jonestown was dispatched to the 00 block of Little Mountain Rd. for a report of criminal mischief. Upon troopers’ arrival, it was learned that an unknown vehicle damaged the lawn at the above-listed address and fled the scene. No suspects are known at this time. The Victim was a 58 year old Jonestown man. The damaged property included Grass at the Above Address, valued at $10.00.

Union Township

Firearm Found Or Surrendered – On July 29, 2021 at approximately 10:20 a.m., PSP Jonestown responded to the area of mile marker 92.7 of I 81 Northbound in Swatara Twp. after PennDOT employees discovered a rusted firearm off of the shoulder. The found property included Unknown See NCIC Operating Manual; Part 4 Section 2 Contact CJIS Law Enforcement Rusted Firearm With Unknown; Make, Model, and S/N. PSP is investigating.

Identity Theft – On July 29, 2021 at 10:51 a.m., troopers spoke to the Victim at PSP Jonestown who related that a fraudulent unemployment compensation claim had been opened in her name. The claim, which was opened by an unknown Actor(s) from an unknown location, used all of her information, including her SSN. The Victim suffered no monetary/financial loss and was advised to complete the identity theft/unemployment fraud form with the Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry. All information was forwarded to Assistant Special Agent in Charge Syreeta Scott of the U.S. Department of Labor – Office of Inspector General for further investigation. Anyone with information or who is a potential victim of a similar incident is encouraged to call the Pennsylvania State Police or their local police department. The Victim was a 69 year old Myerstown woman. The stolen property included an Unemployment Claim.

Harassment – On July 29, 2021 at 11:08 a.m., PSP Jonestown received a report of harassment involving physical contact on the 1,400 block of Suedberg Rd. The Victim related that he was involved in a verbal argument with the Suspect/property manager. The Suspect then informed the Victim that he was no longer welcomed at the establishment and patted the Victim’s shoulder. The Victim waived prosecution. The Victim was a 25 year old Bernville man.

Found Property – On July 12, 2021 at approximately 4:14 p.m., a trooper was fueling a marked patrol Unit at the Speedway gas station located at the 00 block of Lickdale Rd. in Union Twp. Prior to fueling the marked Unit, the trooper identified a Capital One Venture card left in the card slot. Utilizing the card information, the trooper contacted the credit card company and informed them of the mislaid item. The credit card company subsequently canceled the card, as per the trooper’s request and the credit card company’s policies. The credit card company related that they would contact the owner and inform him that the card would be located at the PSP Jonestown station and awaiting his retrieval.

Identity Theft – On July 12, 2021 at approximately 1:36 p.m., troopers from PSP Jonestown responded to the PSP Jonestown Barracks for identity theft reported by a Victim who resides on the 00 block of Colonial Dr. in Union Twp. Through further investigation, troopers learned that an unidentified person opened an unemployment account in the Victim’s name. No monetary value was reported lost/stolen from the Victim. The U.S. Office of Inspector General – Department of Labor was notified of this particular incident. Theft From Building – On July 29, 2021 at 1:08 p.m., PSP Jonestown was dispatched to a report of theft at Ingram Micro, located at 80 Micro Dr. in Union Twp. An assortment of electronic communication devices were stolen, amounting to a total monetary loss of $3,533.46. The investigation is ongoing. The Victim was Ingram Micro in Jonestown. The stolen property included a Black 32 GB Apple iPhone 7, valued at $649.00, a Black 32 GB Apple iPhone 7, valued at $649.00, a Black 32 GB Apple iPhone 7, valued at $649.00, a Black 32 GB Apple iPhone 7, valued at $649.00, a Space Gray 64 GB iPhone 8 Space, valued at $300.00, a Space Gray 64 GB iPhone 8 Space, valued at $300.00, and a 42 MM Space Gray Aluminum Black Sport B Apple Series 3 Apple Watch Series 3, valued at $337.46.

Vehicle Accident – On July 29, 2021 at 4:40 p.m., this crash occurred in front of the 400 block of Jonestown Rd. in Union Twp. Unit 1, a 2016 Ford Transit, driven by Operator 1, was traveling east on Jonestown Rd. and left the roadway to the right, striking a tree, which was its point of initial impact. After impact, Unit 1 came to final rest partially in the roadway, facing east. Unit 1 sustained functional damage to the passenger’s side of the vehicle in the 2, 3, and 4 o’clock positions. No injuries were reported as a result of this crash. No tow was necessary as a result of this crash. Unit 1 was able to leave the scene under its own power. Operator 1 was cited for Driving on Roadways Laned for Traffic.

Vehicle Accident – On June 16, 2021 at 5:41 p.m., this two-vehicle crash occurred as Unit 1, a 2010 Volkswagen Jetta, driven by Operator 1, was traveling on I 81 Northbound’s rightmost lane and Unit 2, a 2019 Honda CRV, driven by Operator 2, was traveling on I 81 Northbound’s center lane. Both Unit 1 and Unit 2 were approaching the I 81 Northbound and I 78 Eastbound split. Unit 1 was attempting to merge into the left-center lane from the right lane and hit Unit 2. This driver action caused minor damage to Unit 1’s driver’s side fender and both the driver’s side front and rear doors. Unit 2 sustained minor damage to its front passenger’s side fender and passenger’s side door. Operator 1 was cited for Driving on Roadways Laned for Traffic.

Vehicle Accident – On June 7, 2021 at 3:27 p.m., this single-vehicle crash occurred as Unit 1, a 2004 Chevrolet Tahoe, driven by Operator 1, a 20 year old Palmyra man, was traveling southbound upon the leftmost lane of the southbound lanes of travel. Operator 1 overcorrected in an attempt to avoid a collision with another vehicle, which, according to Operator 1, was attempting to merge into the left lane, just ahead of Unit 1. Unit 1 then lost control, hitting the wired guide rail. Unit 1 then came to a controlled final rest upon the right shoulder of I 81 Southbound. Operator 1 was wearing his seatbelt at the time of the crash. Operator 1 did not sustain any injuries as a result of this crash. Operator 1 was cited for Driving on Roadways Laned for Traffic.

Vehicle Accident – On July 6, 2021 at 7:20 a.m., this two-vehicle crash occurred as Unit 1, a 2018 Mercedes-Benz whose model was not listed, driven by Operator 1, a 26 year old Hegins woman, was traveling southbound on I 81 Southbound’s left lane of travel. Unit 2, a 2017 Freightliner Casca, driven by Operator 2, a 64 year old Repentigny, QC man, was traveling in the same direction upon the right lane. Operator 1 reached in the backseat and jerked the wheel toward the right. This caused Unit 1 to sideswipe Unit 2’s trailing unit. Unit 1 sustained disabling damage and Unit 2 sustained minor damage as a result of this crash. Operator 1 and Operator 2 were wearing their seatbelts at the time of the crash. Operator 1 sustained suspected minor injuries as a result of this crash but refused transport. Operator 2 did not sustain any injuries as a result of this crash. Operator 1 was cited for Careless Driving.

Vehicle Accident – On July 6, 2021 at 1:26 p.m., this two-vehicle crash occurred within the southwest portion of the Love’s Travel Stop parking lot, located at 22 Old Forge Rd. in Union Twp. Unit 1, a 2005 Freightliner whose model was not listed, driven by Operator 1, was traversing the parking lot, heading south, attempting to turn left, when it hit Unit 2, a 2020 Ford F350, driven by Operator 2, an unattended parked vehicle. Unit 1 sustained no visible damage and Unit 2 sustained minor damage to its driver’s side mirror.

Vehicle Accident – On July 27, 2021 at 6:58 p.m., this crash occurred as Unit 1, a 2009 Freightliner Sprinter, driven by Operator 1, failed to use a proper turn signal while making a righthand turn onto Fisher Ave. After failing to use a turn signal, Unit 1, being a semi, made a wide righthand turn from Old Forge Rd. onto the far left side lane of Fisher Ave., which is two lanes at this location, before entering the inner righthand lane and striking Unit 2, a 2014 Toyota Camry, driven by Operator 2, in the driver’s side rear passenger area. Unit 2 was also making a righthand turn at this time but utilized the inner righthand lane of Fisher Ave. No injuries were reported as a result of this crash. All parties related that they were wearing lap and shoulder belts. Operator 1 was cited for Turning Movements and Required Signals.

DUI – On July 18, 2021 at approximately 1:20 a.m., a traffic stop was conducted on SR 72 and Everest Ln. on a green-in-color Jeep for a moving violation. Upon initial contact with the Operator, odors of marijuana and alcohol were emitting from the interior. The Operator of this vehicle submitted to SFSTS at this time. He showed signs of impairment and was taken into custody for suspicion of driving while under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance. Trooper Wolff is investigating. The Arrestee was a 31 year old Jonestown man. The vehicles involved included a 2008 Jeep Chrysler.

Vehicle Accident – On July 30, 2021 at 8:01 p.m., this two-vehicle crash occurred on I 81 South at mile marker 88.2 in Union Twp. This crash occurred as Unit 2, a 2014 Volvo VNL, driven by Operator 2, a 38 year old Chipley, FL man, was traveling in the far left lane of I 81 South at mile marker 88.2. Unit 1, a 2015 BMW 428I, driven by Operator 1, a 64 year old Thomasville man, was traveling in the right merge lane of I 81 South. Unit 1 crossed over the dashed white line into Unit 2’s lane and side-swiped Unit 2. Unit 1 then crossed in front of Unit 2’s truck, where it became stuck on Unit 1’s front. Operator 1 and Operator 2 were wearing their seatbelts at the time of the crash. Operator 1 and Operator 2 did not sustain any injuries as a result of this crash. Operator 1 was cited for Driving on Roadways Laned for Traffic.

West Lebanon Township

Drug Possession – On July 26, 2021 at approximately 7:22 p.m., a PSP Jonestown trooper was on roving patrol on Lehman St., which is located in Lebanon City. The trooper observed a white-in-color sedan with equipment violations. A traffic stop was then conducted in the area of Lehman St. and North 22nd St. Upon interaction with the Operator, a strong odor of marijuana was emitting from the vehicle. The Operator was asked to perform SFSTS. During SFSTS, signs of impairment were observed. The Operator was also in possession of marijuana at the time of the stop, which was subsequently seized. The Operator was then placed under arrest for suspicion of DUI and drug possession. Trooper Wolff is investigating. The Arrestee was a 24 year old Lebanon man.
