Vehicle Accident – On Aug. 2, 2021 at 4:08 p.m., this single-vehicle crash involving a concrete mixer occurred on Mount Zion Rd., just south of its intersection with Greble Rd. in Bethel Twp. This crash occurred as Operator 1, Scott Trotman, a 52 year old Tamaqua man, lost control of Unit 1, a 2002 Mack Trucks Incline, while negotiating a lefthand curve at the above-listed location. Unit 1 subsequently left the right side of the roadway into an embankment and overturned, before sliding to final rest. Operator 1 was extricated from Unit 1 via mechanical means and subsequently transported via First Aid and Safety Patrol of Lebanon to the Hershey Medical Center for further evaluation of suspected serious injuries. Unit 1 was towed from the scene by Hammer’s Towing Company. Operator 1 was cited for Driving on Roadways Laned for Traffic.

DUI – On July 31, 2021 at 2:57 a.m., this incident occurred on Lehman St. and Concentrator Rd. In the commission of this crime, the Arrestee operated a vehicle while under the influence of alcohol. The Arrestee was a 30 year old Lebanon man. The vehicles involved included a 2015 Subaru Impreza Impreza Outback.
Drug Possession – On Aug. 1, 2021 at 3:52 a.m., this incident occurred on Willow St. and North 7th St. The Arrestee was a 22 year old Lebanon man. The vehicles involved included a 2004 Mercury Automobiles Grand Marquis.
East Hanover Township
Vehicle Accident – On July 11, 2021 at 5:45 p.m., this single-vehicle crash occurred on I 81 South near mile marker 84.7 in East Hanover Twp. This crash occurred as Unit 1, a 2003 Jeep Liberty, driven by Operator 1, a 24 year old Camp Hill woman, accompanied by Passenger 1, a 20 year old Hellam man, was traveling in the right lane after merging onto the highway. As Operator 1 attempted to gain speed, she lost control and the vehicle spun out of control, traveled into the left lane, left the roadway, and struck the cable guide rail in the left median, where it came to final rest. Operator 1 and Passenger 1 were both wearing their seatbelts at the time of the crash. Operator 1 and Passenger 1 did not sustain any injuries as a result of this crash. Operator 1 was cited for Driving Vehicle at Safe Speed.
Identity Theft – On July 21, 2021 at 2:31 p.m., the Victim contacted PSP Jonestown to report that his identity was used to file a fraudulent unemployment claim. The Victim related that on July 21, 2021, he was contacted by his HR department at the Milton Hershey School that an unemployment claim was filed using his personal identifying information. The Victim related that his HR department denied the claim immediately and he did not suffer any monetary loss. The Victim related that he was going to process a claim through the Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry. The Victim was mailed a Victim/Witness Assistance Guide. All information shall be forwarded to Syreeta Scott of the U.S. Department of Labor. The Victim was a 45 year old Grantville man. The stolen property included Personal Identifiable Information, valued at $0.00.
Harassment – On Aug. 1, 2021 at 3:32 p.m., PSP Jonestown troopers responded to Allentown Blvd. for a report of a disturbance. Through investigation, it was determined that, after a verbal altercation, the Arrestee pushed the Victim and threw a rock at the Victim’s vehicle, breaking the vehicle’s rear window. The Arrestee was charged through NTC. The Arrestee was a 40 year old Grantville woman. The Victim was 26 year old Grantville man. The damaged property included a Rear Passenger’s Side Window, valued at $100.00. The vehicles involved included a 1999 General Motors Corp. Yukon.
Identity Theft – On July 15, 2021 at approximately 4:27 p.m., troopers from PSP Jonestown were dispatched to the 00 block of Lincoln School Rd. in East Hanover Twp. for identity theft. Through further investigation, troopers learned that an unidentified person opened an unemployment account in the Victim’s name. No monetary value was reported as lost/stolen from the Victim as a result of the incident. The U.S. Office of Inspector General Department of Labor was notified of this particular incident. The stolen property included Identity, valued at $0.00.
Vehicle Accident – On July 17, 2021 at 4:59 p.m., this crash occurred as Unit 1, a 2004 Harley-Davidson Motor Co. Electra Glide Ultra, driven by Operator 1, a 60 year old Allentown man, accompanied by Passenger 1, a 53 year old Allentown woman, was traveling southbound on I 81 near mile marker 81.6. Unit 1 was traveling in the righthand lane when this crash occurred. Unit 1’s tires lost contact with the wet road surface, causing Operator 1 to lose control of Unit 1. Unit 1 fell onto its left side, causing Operator 1 and Passenger 1 to be separated from Unit 1. Upon impact, Unit 1 continued in a south direction, where it came to its position of final rest in the righthand travel lane of I 81. Unit 1 sustained damage to its left side as a result of this crash. Operator 1 was not wearing a helmet or eye protection when this crash occurred. Passenger 1 was wearing a helmet and eye protection when this crash occurred. Operator 1 and Passenger 1 both sustained suspected serious injuries as a result of this crash and were transported via Life Lion EMS and South Central EMS to the Hershey Medical Center for further medical treatment. Through further investigation, Operator 1 did not have a motorcycle endorsement on his driver’s license. Operator 1 was cited for Learners’ Permits. PSP Jonestown was assisted on scene by Cpl. Winnberg, Ft. Indiantown Gap Fire Department, Northern Lebanon Fire Department, Life Lion EMS, South Central EMS, and Joe May’s Towing.
Drug Possession – On July 17, 2021 at approximately 5:01 p.m., troopers from PSP Jonestown responded to a motor vehicle crash involving a motorcycle on I 81 Southbound near mile marker 81.6. While on scene, troopers recovered a firearm and a small amount of marijuana. The Passenger of the motorcycle was charged with Possession of Marijuana. Charges were filed through MDJ 52-3-04. The Arrestee was a 53 year old Allentown woman. The vehicles involved included a 2004 Hartline Travel Trailers.

Unauthorized Use Of MV – On July 19, 2021, PSP Jonestown responded to Lincoln School Rd. for a report of an 11 year old juvenile taking the parents’ car without their consent. PSP is investigating. The Victims were a 59 year old Jonestown woman and a 62 year old Jonestown man. The vehicles involved included a 1995 Ford Ranger pickup.

Vehicle Accident – On Aug. 2, 2021 at 8:22 p.m., this crash occurred on I 81 North near mile marker 83.4. The parties involved included Unit 1, a 2015 Hyundai Tucson, driven by Operator 1, a 43 year old Berlin, CT man, accompanied by Passenger 1, a 43 year old Berlin, CT woman, and Passenger 2, a 16 year old Berlin, CT female. Operator 1, Passenger 1, and Passenger 2 were wearing their seatbelts at the time of the crash. Operator 1, Passenger 1, and Passenger 2 did not sustain any injuries as a result of this crash.
Heidelberg Township
Vehicle Accident – On July 16, 2021 at 7:16 a.m., this crash occurred in the area of the 3,200 block of SR 897 in Heidelberg Twp. Unit 1, a 2007 Lexus IS250, driven by Operator 1, a 21 year old Lebanon man, was traveling west on SR 897, when it crossed over the oncoming/eastbound lane of SR 897, traveled off of the left/eastbound shoulder, and struck a brick mailbox at the residence on the 3,200 block of SR 897. After initial impact with the mailbox, Unit 1 re-entered the roadway and came to final rest straddling the double-yellow lines, facing west on SR 897. Operator 1 related that he fell asleep while driving home from work. Operator 1 was wearing his seatbelt at the time of the crash. Operator 1 did not sustain any injuries as a result of this crash. Unit 1 was towed from the scene by Leffler’s Towing. Operator 1 was cited for Driving on Roadways Laned for Traffic. Charges are pending before MDJ Verna (52-3-01).
Jackson Township
Identity Theft – On July 22, 2021 at 4:31 p.m., the Victim contacted PSP Jonestown to report that her identity was used to file a fraudulent unemployment claim. The Victim related that on July 22, 2021, she received an unemployment check in the mail at her residence. She related that she is employed by South Eastern Home Health Care. The Victim related that she did not file the claim and was going to send the check back. She was advised to file a claim with the Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry. The Victim was mailed a Victim/Witness Assistance Guide. All information shall be forwarded to Syreeta Scott of the U.S. Department of Labor. The Victim was a 49 year old Myerstown woman. The stolen property included Personal Identifying Information, valued at $0.00.
Vehicle Accident – On July 11, 2021 at 2:30 a.m., this two-vehicle hit-and-run crash occurred in the Twin Maples trailer park, located at 500 Houtztown Rd. in Jackson Twp. This crash occurred in the driveway of trailer 64 of the above-listed location. This crash occurred as Unit 2, a 2013 Ford Focus, driven by Operator 2, was legally parked in the driveway of the residence off of Locust St., when it was struck in the rear end by Unit 1, a 2010 Toyota Yaris, driven by Operator 1, a 28 year old Myerstown woman. Unit 1 was traveling north on Locust St. when it struck the rear end of Unit 2 with its front passenger’s side. Unit 1 subsequently fled from the scene. Further investigation revealed the Operator of Unit 1. Operator 1 was wearing her seatbelt at the time of the crash. Operator 1 did not sustain any injuries as a result of this crash. Identity Theft – On July 19, 2021 at approximately 12:34 p.m., troopers from PSP Jonestown were dispatched to the 100 block of Twin Creeks Dr. in Jonestown Boro. for a report of identity theft. Through further investigation, troopers learned that an unidentified person opened an unemployment account in the Victim’s name. No monetary value was reported as lost/stolen from the Victim. The U.S. Office of Inspector General Department of Labor was notified of this particular incident. Overdose – On July 26, 2021 at 7:39 p.m., PSP Jonestown to East Muth Ave. for a report of a 25 year old man suffering from a drug overdose. The man was stabilized and refused further medical treatment. PSP Jonestown is investigating. The Victim was a 25 year old Myerstown man.

Drug Possession – North Londonderry Twp. Police Department has charged John Landry, a 19 year old Palmyra resident, with Possession of a Small Amount of Marijuana, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and a vehicle equipment violation following a traffic stop on July 10, 2021 at 2:34 a.m. on Lynnwood Dr. in Palmyra.
Drug Possession – North Londonderry Twp. Police Department has charged Mckenzie Layser, a 20 year old Myerstown resident, with Possession of a Controlled Substance, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and a vehicle equipment violation following a traffic stop on April 15, 2021 at 9:42 p.m. on the 100 block of Gravel Hill Road.
Richland Borough
Harassment – On July 20, 2021 at 7:05 p.m., Victim/Arrestee 1 contacted PSP Jonestown to report that two unknown black females had entered the residence on the 100 block of Curtis St., took a TV, and, in the process, beat her up. Upon arrival and during the investigation, it was determined that Victim/Arrestee 1’s 7 year old son had opened the door for Victim/Arrestee 2, after she knocked on the door, and allowed her to enter the residence. Victim/Arrestee 1 related that Victim/Arrestee 2 is a friend and knows her son well. Once inside of the residence, Victim/Arrestee 1 woke up from a nap and observed Victim/Arrestee 2 removing the TV from the residence that belonged to Victim/Arrestee 2. At the time, Victim/Arrestee 1 attempted to stop Victim/Arrestee 2 from taking the TV and a scuffle ensued. During the scuffle, hair was pulled, and pushing and shoving occurred until another woman entered the residence to break up the fight, by trying to pull the two parties away from each other. NTC citations shall be filed for Harassment. The Victims/Arrestees were a 16 year old Richland female and a 22 year old Womelsdorf woman.
Scattering Rubbish – Sometime between July 30, 2021 at 8:00 a.m. and Aug. 1, 2021 at 10:30 a.m., troopers responded to a report of scattered rubbish at South Park St. Upon arrival, troopers discovered that used motor oil was dumped in a grassy area located on the Victim’s property. Troopers are investigating. The Victim was a 48 year old Richland woman.
Swatara Township
Identity Theft – On July 24, 2021 at 2:33 p.m., the Victim contacted PSP Jonestown to report that his identity was used to file a fraudulent unemployment claim. The Victim related that on July 24, 2021, he received a letter in the mail advising him that an unemployment claim was opened using his personal identifying information. The Victim related that his HR is going to deny the claim immediately and he did not suffer any monetary loss. The Victim related that he was going to process a claim through the Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry. The Victim was mailed a Victim/Witness Assistance Guide. All information shall be forwarded to Syreeta Scott of the U.S. Department of Labor. The Victim was a 61 year old Jonestown man. The stolen property included Personal Identifying Information, valued at $0.00.
Vehicle Accident – On Aug. 1, 2021 at 5:33 p.m., this two-vehicle crash occurred on Grace Ave. at its intersection with Horst Rd. in Swatara Twp. As Unit 1, a 2018 Jeep Wrangler, driven by Operator 1, passed Unit 2, a 2009 Dodge Charger including Shelby, driven by Operator 2, on the left, Unit 1 struck the front of Unit 2. Unit 1 did not sustain any visible damage as a result of this crash. Unit 2 sustained minor damage to its front left bumper. Both vehicles were driven from the scene. Neither Operator 1 nor Operator 2 sustained any injuries as a result of this crash. Operator 1 was cited for PA VC 3303(a)(1), 3307(b), 3310(a), and 3714(a).
Harassment – On July 27, 2021 at 11:51 a.m., PSP Jonestown responded to East Hazel St. for a report of a roommate pushing another roommate. Investigation revealed that both parties engaged in a physical argument where one Victim/Arrestee grabbed and held onto the other Victim/Arrestee, as the other Victim/Arrestee bit the one Victim/Arrestee. Both individuals were cited with Harassment within MDJ 52-3-03 on scene. The Victims/Arrestees were a 65 year old Jonestown woman and a 64 year old Jonestown woman.
Identity Theft – On Aug. 2, 2021 at approximately 3:00 p.m., PSP Jonestown responded to Lickdale Rd. for a report of Personal Identifiable Information (PII) being used to open up a bank account in the Victim’s name. PSP Jonestown is investigating. The Victim was a 32 year old Jonestown man.

The Victim was a 68 year old Lebanon woman. The stolen property included Personal Identity Information, valued at $0.00.
Union Township
DUI – On July 31, 2021 at 4:08 p.m., PSP Jonestown troopers responded to a crash on Jonestown Rd. While on scene, Operator 1 showed signs of impairment and was placed in custody for DUI. Charges are to be filed. The Arrestee was a 64 year old Jonestown man. The Victim was a 55 year old Jonestown woman. The vehicles involved included a 2005 Toyota Tacoma and a 2012 Nissan Sentra.
Drug Possession – On July 25, 2021 at 10:51 a.m., troopers conducted a traffic stop on I 81 South. The Operator of the vehicle was found to be in possession of a small amount of marijuana and paraphernalia. The vehicle Operator had a revoked out-of-state driver’s license for ignition interlock. Appropriate charges have been filed. The Operator/Arrestee was a 37 year old Windsor, NY man. The vehicles involved included a Toyota Tundra.
Firearm Found Or Surrendered – On July 29, 2021 at approximately 10:20 a.m., PSP Jonestown responded to I 81 North near mile marker 92.7 in Union Twp. after PennDOT employees discovered a rusted firearm off of the shoulder. PSP is investigating. The found property included an Unknown See NCIC Operating Manual; Part 4 Section 2 Contact CJIS Law Enforcement Rusted Firearm With Unknown, Make, Model, And S/N, valued at $0.00.
Vehicle Accident – On July 20, 2021 at 10:49 a.m., this crash occurred on the right shoulder of I 81 South near mile marker 92.0. Unit 1, a 2013 Peterbilt 383, driven by Operator 1, was traveling southbound in the righthand travel lane. Unit 2, a 2013 Mack Trucks 613, driven by Operator 2, was stopped/parked on the right shoulder. Unit 1, for an unknown reason, crossed into the right shoulder and, in doing so, sideswiped Unit 2’s trailing unit, causing damage. Unit 1 sustained damage to the front passenger’s side mirror and scratches to a shed located on Unit 1’s trailing unit. Unit 2 sustained scratches to the driver’s side of its trailing unit. Both Unit 1 and Unit 2 were driven from the scene by their respective Operators. Neither Operator 1 nor Operator 2 sustained any injuries as a result of this crash.

Identity Theft – On July 14, 2021, the Victim reported that his identity was used to file a fraudulent unemployment claim. The Victim related that on July 14, 2021, he was contacted by his employer at the Country Acres Mobile Home Park that an unemployment claim was filed using his personal identifying information. The Victim related that his employer denied the claim immediately and he did not suffer any monetary loss. The Victim related that he was going to process a claim through the Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry. The Victim was provided with a Victim/Witness Assistance Guide. All information shall be forwarded to Syreeta Scott of the U.S. Department of Labor.

The Victim related that his employer denied the claim immediately and he did not suffer any monetary loss. The Victim related that he was going to process a claim through the Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry. The Victim was provided with a Victim/Witness Assistance Guide. All information shall be forwarded to Syreeta Scott of the U.S. Department of Labor.

The Victim related that on July 9, 2021, she was contacted by her employer at the Jonestown Boro. that an unemployment claim was filed using her personal identifying information. The Victim related that her employer denied the claim immediately and she did not suffer any monetary loss. The Victim related that she was going to process a claim through the Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry. The Victim was provided with a Victim/Witness Assistance Guide. All information shall be forwarded to Syreeta Scott of the U.S. Department of Labor.

The Victim related that on July 25, 2021, they were contacted by their HR department at the Hershey Medical Center that an unemployment claim was filed using their personal identifying information. The Victim related that their HR denied the claim immediately and they did not suffer any monetary loss. The Victim related that they were going to process a claim through the Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry. The Victim was provided with a Victim/Witness Assistance Guide. All information shall be forwarded to Syreeta Scott of the U.S. Department of Labor.
