Identity Theft – On Aug. 9, 2021 at 5:35 p.m., PSP Jonestown was dispatched to a PA unemployment fraud incident on the 100 block of West Main St. The Victim advised that his identity was used to gain unemployment benefits on Aug. 9, 2021. The Victim did not suffer any financial loss. No suspects are known at this time. This incident will be investigated by the Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry. The Victim was a 28 year old Fredericksburg man. The stolen property included Identity.

DUI – On Aug. 8, 2021 at 7:12 p.m., PSP Jonestown responded to a crash on the 500 block of Blue Mountain Rd. The Operator was found to be under the influence of alcohol. The Arrestee was a 38 year old Myerstown man. The vehicles involved included a 2009 Hartline Travel Trailers.

Vehicle Accident – On Aug. 8, 2021 at 7:12 p.m., this crash occurred as Unit 1, a 2009 Harley-Davidson Motorcycle, driven by Operator 1, a 38 year old Myerstown man, was traveling south on Blue Mountain Rd., north of the 500 block of Blue Mountain Rd. Unit 1 failed to negotiate a righthand curve. Unit 1 then drove off of the roadway. Unit 1 then fell to its left side approximately 15 feet from the roadway on its west shoulder, which would be Unit 1’s position of final rest. No tow was required. Operator 1 was not wearing their helmet at the time of the crash. Operator 1 sustained possible injuries as a result of this crash and was transported via Life Lion to the Hershey Medical Center. Operator 1 was cited for Driving on Roadways Laned for Traffic.

City of Lebanon

DUI – On Aug. 6, 2021 at 6:18 p.m., PSP Jonestown conducted a traffic stop at Guilford St. and North 11th St. The Operator was found to be under the influence of drugs. The Arrestee was a 29 year old Lebanon man. The vehicles involved included a 2004 Hyundai Sonata.

Indecent Assault – PSP Jonestown received a report of possible sexual assault while the Victim was a juvenile. This incident occurred between Jan. 1, 2003 at 12:01 a.m. and Dec. 31, 2009 at 11:59 a.m. The investigation continues. The Victim was a 22 year old Annville woman.

East Hanover Township

Residential Burglary – This incident occurred on the 700 block of Ono Rd. In the commission of this crime, unknown Actor(s) entered the residence without force sometime between July 27, 2021 at 5:00 p.m. and July 30, 2021 at 2:07 p.m. The unknown Actor(s) ripped down an outdoor camera facing the driveway. Once inside the residence, the unknown Actor(s) took down an additional camera that faced the driveway. The unknown Actor(s) removed a sentry safe firebox that contained personal documents belonging to the Victim. These items included deeds, vehicle titles, life insurance information, etc. The unknown Actor(s) then fled the scene in an unknown direction by unknown means. The Victim was a 64 year old Annville man. The stolen property included a Sentry Safe Firebox, valued at $50.00.

Vehicle Accident – On Aug. 5, 2021 at 4:07 p.m., this crash occurred as Unit 2, a white-in-color 2020 Chevrolet Traverse, driven by Operator 2, a 36 year old Lebanon woman, was traveling northbound on I 81 in the left lane. While traveling on I 81 Northbound, Unit 2 was cut off by an unknown vehicle exchanging lanes. At the time, Unit 2 slowed down in the lefthand lane to avoid collision with the vehicle exchanging lanes and was struck in the rear end by Unit 1, a 2015 Toyota Prius, driven by Operator 1, a 27 year old Cleveland, OH woman. Operator 1 and Operator 2 were wearing their seatbelts at the time of the crash. Operator 1 and Operator did not sustain any injuries as a result of this crash. Operator 1 was cited for Following Too Closely.

Heidelberg Township

Indecent Assault – On July 30, 2021 at 3:35 p.m., members from PSP Jonestown received a referral from Lancaster County indicating that a juvenile female reported sexual abuse by a family member. The child also reported that the same family member provided her with alcohol in the past. The investigation is ongoing. The Victim was an 8 year old Lancaster juvenile female.

Identity Theft – On July 28, 2021 at 1:01 p.m., this incident occurred on the 200 block of Phillip Dr. The Victim was a 43 year old Myerstown woman. The stolen property included Identity, valued at $0.00.

Jackson Township

Theft Disposition Of Funds – On Aug. 6, 2021 at 1:33 p.m., this incident occurred as the Victim’s bank information was used to pay for Uber and Lyft services as well as money being transferred to a cash app. The Victim believes the Actor to be his caretaker. This incident is pending further investigation at this time. The Victim was a 95 year old Myerstown man. The stolen property included Money Taken Using Victim’s Bank Information, valued at $198.21.

Jonestown Borough

Theft Items From Motor Vehicle – Sometime between Aug. 9, 2021 at 8:00 p.m. and Aug. 10, 2021 at 4:30 a.m., this incident occurred on the 100 block of South Lancaster St. as unknown Actor(s) entered the Victim’s unlocked vehicle and removed the Victim’s purse from the passenger’s side floor. Unknown Actor(s) then fled the scene in an unknown direction. Anyone with any information regarding this incident is asked to contact PSP Jonestown at 717-865-2194. The Victim was a 20 year old Jonestown woman. The vehicles involved included a 2013 Kia Forte.

Harassment – On Aug. 9, 2021 at 8:30 p.m., PSP Jonestown was dispatched to the 00 block of West Market St. for a landlord/tenant issue. It was found that the Arrestee shoved the Victim. The Arrestee was cited with Harassment. The Arrestee was a 41 year old Palmyra man. The Victim was a 50 year old Annville man.

Harassment – On Aug. 11, 2021 sometime between 10:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., PSP responded to East Market St. for harassment. Through investigation, it was determined that a verbal altercation occurred between the Victim and Arrestee. The altercation turned physical when the Arrestee pushed the Victim down the stairs. The Arrestee also scratched the Victim’s neck. NTC was to be filed for harassment. The Arrestee was a 16 year old Jonestown woman. The Victim was a 45 year old Jonestown man.

Myerstown Borough

DUI – On Aug. 6, 2021 at 8:17 p.m., a traffic stop was conducted on a red-in-color CRV for equipment violations. Upon initial contact with the vehicle, a strong odor of burnt marijuana was emitting from its interior. At this time, the Operator was asked to exit the vehicle and conduct SFSTS. The Operator was showing indicators of impairment at this time and was placed under arrest for the suspicion of DUI. The Operator was then transported to WellSpan for a blood draw. PSP is investigating. The Arrestee was a 19 year old Lancaster man. The vehicles involved included a 1999 Honda CRV.

Death Natural – On July 23, 2021 at 2:19 p.m., PSP Jonestown troopers responded to the 00 block of North Railroad St. for a death investigation. Upon investigating the scene, no suspicious activity was observed, and it was ruled that the Victim died due to natural causes. The Victim was a 46 year old Myerstown man.

Overdose – On July 28, 2021 at 4:44 a.m., this incident occurred on the 00 block of East Muth Ave. PSP responded to the above-listed address for a report of an apparent drug overdose. The Victim was revived and transported to the hospital for treatment. The Victim was a 26 year old Myerstown man.

North Londonderry Township

Driving While License Is Suspended Or Revoked – North Londonderry Twp. Police Department has filed charges against Mitch Espola Torres, a 32 year old Lancaster resident, for his involvement in an incident that took place on July 26, 2021 at 3:07 a.m. on the 1,300 block of East Main St. in Palmyra. Torres was stopped for driving on a suspended driver’s license. A consent search found a loaded handgun in the center console of the vehicle. Torres was charged with Firearm Not to Be Carried Without a License, Carrying a Loaded Weapon, and Driving While Operating Privilege is Suspended or Revoked.

Vehicle Accident, DUI – North Londonderry Twp. Police Department has charged Casey Allen Estep, a 27 year old Harrisburg resident, with DUI: Highest Rate, DUI: General Impairment, Driving at Safe Speeds, and Careless Driving as a result of a crash that occurred on June 11, 2021 at approximately 3:49 p.m. Estep was traveling south in the 500 block of Eisenhower Rd., when his vehicle exited the roadway while negotiating a curve in the roadway. Estep’s vehicle struck some landscaping boulders and a wooden fence. Estep’s vehicle then came to final rest against a tree on the 500 block of Eisenhower Rd. Estep was transported via Life Lion EMS to the Hershey Medical Center for further evaluation of his injuries. Estep’s BAC at the time of the crash was .23%.

Swatara Township

Theft – On Aug. 6, 2021 at approximately 6:25 p.m., troopers from PSP Jonestown were dispatched to the 200 block of East Queen St. in Swatara Twp. for theft. Through further investigation, troopers learned that between 3:30 p.m. and 4:15 p.m., the Victim had his scooter stolen while he was fishing near the vicinity of the 300 block of West Market St. in Jonestown. PSP Jonestown is investigating. The Victim was a 15 year old Jonestown juvenile male.

Union Township

Harassment – On July 23, 2021 at 4:24 p.m., members from PSP Jonestown are investigating the report of a harassment incident occurring between an adult and a juvenile. The investigation is ongoing. The Victim was a 12 year old Jonestown juvenile female.

Vehicle Accident – On Aug. 5, 2021 at 3:26 p.m., this crash occurred at the rear of Love’s Truck Stop parking lot located on Old Forge Rd. This is a result of Unit 1, a 2019 Freightliner TT, driven by Operator 1, carelessly backing. This crash occurred as Unit 1 was backing and Unit 2, a 2020 Freightliner Casade, driven by Operator 2, was parked. Unit 1’s 6 o’clock position then struck Unit 2’s 12 o’clock position, which would be both Units’ points of initial impact as well as positions of final rest. No tows or medical attention were required. Operator 1 was cited for Limitations on Backing.

Identity Theft – On July 29, 2021 at approximately 11:57 a.m., PSP Jonestown was dispatched and responded to an identity theft, where the Victim’s Personal Identifying Information (PII) was utilized to open a fraudulent unemployment claim. The Victim related that she received an email correspondence from the Pennsylvania Department of Labor notifying her of the unemployment claim, indicating a claim number. The Victim related that she had already notified the Department of Labor of the fraudulent account. The Victim related that she received a debit card in the mail and has not utilized the card. The Victim also related that she identified an online account username with a claimant identification number. The Victim related that there was no monetary loss on her part. The Victim was advised to follow up with the Pennsylvania Department of Labor regarding this incident as well as to contact the Social Security Administration, the Federal Trade Commission, and her personal banking institution to inform them of her compromised PII and inquire about possible mitigation measures to safeguard her PII from future incidents. A Victim’s Rights Guide was mailed to the Victim. A copy of this incident has been forwarded to the Pennsylvania Department of Labor for further investigation. The Victim was a 38 year old Fredericksburg woman. The stolen property included Victim’s PII, valued at $0.00.

Identity Theft – On Aug. 9, 2021 at 6:10 p.m., PSP Jonestown was dispatched to a PA unemployment fraud incident on the 100 block of Racehorse Dr. The Victim advised that her identity was used to gain unemployment benefits on Aug. 9, 2021. The Victim did not suffer any financial loss. No suspects are known at this time. This incident will be investigated by the Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry. The Victim was a 54 year old Jonestown woman. The stolen property included Identity.

Theft Items From Motor Vehicle – PSP responded to Jonestown Rd. for a theft. Through investigation, it was determined that unknown individual(s) entered the storage facility lot sometime between July 31, 2021 at approximately 11:30 a.m. and Aug. 9, 2021 at approximately 6:00 p.m. The unknown individual(s) proceeded to remove six TireMinder TPMS sensors from the Victim’s RV. The unknown individual(s) then fled the scene by unknown means in an unknown direction of travel. Anybody with information regarding this incident is asked to contact PSP Jonestown at 717-865-2194 and reference incident number PA2021-1084299. The Victim was a 38 year old Lebanon man. The stolen property included TireMinder TPMS Sensors, valued at $400.00. The vehicles involved included a 2016 Thor Motor Coach Elkhart.

West Lebanon Township

DUI – On Aug. 6, 2021, a traffic stop was conducted on a red-in-color Toyota Corolla in the area of 16th St. and Willow St. in the City of Lebanon due to the Owner/Operator of the vehicle having a suspended license. During the trooper’s initial interaction with the Operator, the Operator appeared to be slow and sluggish and was displaying indicators of being under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance. Standardized field sobriety was conducted at this time and the Operator was subsequently placed under arrest and transported to WellSpan for a blood draw. PSP is investigating. The Arrestee was a 30 year old Lebanon man. The vehicles involved included a 1997 Toyocar Van Container Trailer.

Summary Non-Traffic Violations – On July 18, 2021 at 4:00 p.m., this incident occurred. In the commission of this crime, the Actors entered the rear of Bella Pizza to confront the Victim in reference to things that the Victim said to the Actor’s daughter. While in the restaurant, an Actor stood near the rear door and spoke with the owner. Another Actor confronted the Victim and caused public alarm within the restaurant. The Actor allegedly threatened to kill the Victim and come for his family. The Actor refused to leave after being asked to by the owner. The Actors eventually left on their own. Summary non-traffic violations were filed against the one Actor.
