The Lebanon VA Medical Center provides the best patient experience among VA hospitals in the nation, according to a recent announcement from the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs.

Lebanon VAMC ranked in the top quintile in the Survey of Healthcare Providers Overall Rating of the Provider, SHEP Inpatient Overall Rating of the Hospital, Veterans Signals Trust scores, and the All Employee Survey Scores for best place to work, the announcement said. The local VA center was a national finalist in the rankings last year.

Lebanon VAMC (and its five clinics) scored the highest overall combined employee and patient scores among complexity level 2 facilities in the Veterans Health Administration, according to a recent press release.

“I’m honored that Lebanon was recognized as best in experience this year,” said Robert W. Callahan Jr., CEO and director of Lebanon VAMC.

“Our trust, SHEP and best places to work ratings have consistently been among the best in VHA and reflect upon our exceptional work culture and our progress in becoming a high reliability organization,” Callahan said. “Our employees are the driving force in this recognition which is verified by the Veterans of South-Central Pennsylvania who trust VA with their health care.”
