Campbelltown Community Alliance hosted a Fall Clean Up Day in Campbelltown on Saturday, Sept. 18.
“The event started at the South Londonderry Township Building in Campbelltown,” CCA president Jen Bushta said in a release, “where over 50 volunteers gathered to help pick up litter, clean up the roundabout on Forge Road, and remove some summer plants from the flower pots downtown to get ready for fall plants.”
Volunteers who helped with the effort included members of CCA, Palmyra High School Key Club students, Girl Scout Troops 70430, 71518, 70781 and 70549, and several individuals from the community, Bushta noted.
“The volunteers were rewarded for their hard work with some pizza donated from Pizza 322 in Campbelltown,” she said in the release. “The event was a huge success, thanks to all volunteers and Pizza 322. Who knew cleaning up would be so fun?!”
Visit the CCA website for more information on the group.
