Death Café events are free, open to the public, and respectful of people of all communities and beliefs systems, organizers from the coalition said in a release.
Registration is required. Registrants will be sent a Zoom link to participate in the event. The Zoom event will be held Tuesday, Dec. 7, 2021 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.
As previously reported by LebTown, attendees will start by introducing themselves and explaining why they’ve come, with discussion to follow. “I’ve never had the conversation stall,” Roberta Geidner, manager of Horizon/Advance Care Planning and Continuing Care Services at WellSpan Health, told LebTown previously.
Topics may include advance care planning, powers of attorney, the difference between hospice care and palliative care, and how to deal with loss.
With questions, contact Geidner at 717-812-6065 or Eve Gardner at 717-812-2989.
