The American Heart Association recently announced a new Lancaster/Lebanon staff team.
Joining the team as executive director is Kristen Masengarb, who was previously employed with Penn State Health Children’s Hospital’s Four Diamonds effort as director of Mini-THON efforts. Masengarb is also a Penn State graduate herself, and recently honored as the YWCA Woman of Excellence Award Winner.

“Our staff is excited to position the American Heart Association as a value driven partner in the Lancaster and Lebanon communities ensuring that everyone can enjoy a full, healthy life,” said Masengarb in a press release announcing the new team.
“We look forward to inviting the community back to be a part of our growing movement, whether you’re celebrating with us at one of our fundraising events or simply finding your own unique ways of inspiring everyone around you to take their health to heart.”
Masengarb will be joined by two development directors and a development coordinator.
In Lebanon County, AHA efforts will be led by development director Disha Modi, a former Wells Fargo service manager and a Rutgers University graduate. Modi is bilingual in English and Gujarati and a graduate of Rutgers University. AHA’s programming in Lebanon County includes events like the Lebanon Heart Walk and the Lebanon Heart Bal.
Lancaster County efforts will be overseen by development director Alek Tomazin, who also joins AHA from Four Diamonds where she spent the past six years as associate director of Mini-THON. Tomazin is also a Penn State graduate.
Lily Tiday will serve as development coordinator for the whole Lancaster/Lebanon team, providing direct customer and volunteer support in those communities. Tiday is a graduate of Liberty University and a former social media marketing expert at Adler & Marlow.
AHA’s development efforts are currently focused on cardiovascular research, advocacy, CPR training, and reducing barriers to health care access and quality as part of the group’s 2024 Health Equity Impact Goal.
