Bethel Township

Vehicle Accident – At 4:02 p.m. Feb. 2, a two-vehicle hit-and-run crash occurred on South Pine Grove Street at State Route 22 in Bethel Township. According to police, a 2002 Chevrolet Trailblazer driven by Lydines Haddock, 23, of Lebanon, accompanied by a passenger, 42-year-old Robyn Haddock, also of Lebanon, was stopped at a yield sign, preparing to merge onto Route 22. A second vehicle, of unknown make and model, rear-ended the Trailblazer, then fled the scene with an undetermined amount of damage, police said. The Trailblazer sustained minor damage and was driven from the scene. Both occupants of the Trailblazer were wearing seatbelts, and neither was injured.

Vehicle Accident – At 5:57 p.m. Feb. 2, a crash occurred at the traffic-way at 585 Chestnut Hill Road in Bethel Township. A 2014 Hyundai Accent, driven by 39-year-old Johny Brice of Harrisburg, was traveling south on the traffic way and a 2009 Hyundai Accent, driven by 45-year-old Desiree Kline of Reading, was traveling north. Both drivers were wearing seatbelts, and neither was injured. Charges against Brice for driving on roadways laned for traffic are pending, police said.

East Hanover Township

DUI, Drug Possession – Nicole Brown, 37, of Fredericksburg, was arrested for driving under the influence of drugs and possession of drugs at 7:21 p.m. Jan. 29 at Allentown Boulevard and Racehorse Drive, according to a report. Brown was driving a 2006 Hyundai Tucson when she was stopped by Pennsylvania State Police.

Heidelberg Township

Fatal Accident – A fatal two-vehicle crash occurred near 2175 Stiegel Pike (State Route 501), south of Cherry Lane Road in Heidelberg Township at 1:14 p.m. Jan. 31. According to police, a 2013 Nissan Altima, driven by Richard Fairman, 73, of Lititz, was traveling north on Route 501 when the vehicle crossed the double yellow lines into the southbound lane while negotiating a curve. The Altima struck a northbound 2016 Mack Truck, driven by Alexander Ross, 50, of Lititz, police said. Both drivers were wearing seatbelts, but Fairman was trapped and had to be freed by mechanical means. He was flown to Penn State Hershey Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead, according to the report. Ross sustained minor injuries and refused transport. Both vehicles were towed from the scene.

Dog Law Incident – At 8:58 a.m. Jan. 24, an 18-year-old Heidelberg Township man reported that his neighbor’s dog came onto his property on Schaeffer Road and bit him. Troopers are investigating.

Jackson Township

Identity Theft – At 10:58 a.m. Feb. 2, troopers responded to Beverly Drive for a report of identity theft by a 31-year-old Myerstown woman. PSP Jonestown is investigating.

Jonestown Borough

Theft – At 1:55 p.m. Jan. 11, a trooper was requested in the PSP Jonestown station lobby for the report of an unknown person making withdrawals on the unemployment card of a 60-year-old Jonestown man. The loss was valued at $3,586.90. Troopers are investigating.

Myerstown Borough

Vehicle Accident – At 11:14 a.m. Jan. 24, a two-vehicle crash occurred on South College Street at Main Avenue. According to the report, a 2015 Nissan Altima, driven by a 17-year-old Myerstown woman, was traveling south on South College Street, turned left onto East Main and hit a 2019 GMC Sierra, driven by Karen Blair, 52, of Myerstown, that was traveling north on South College Street. The front bumper of the Altima struck the left front bumper of the Sierra, police said. Both drivers were wearing seatbelts and did not sustain any injuries. The Altima was disabled and was towed from the scene. The teenager was cited for obedience to traffic-control devices.

Motor Vehicle Theft – PSP Jonestown pursued a stolen vehicle for about 3 minutes shortly before 4 p.m. Jan. 24 in the area of South College Street and West Park Avenue. The Jeep had been reported stolen in South Lebanon Township. According to police, a 14-year-old juvenile was behind the wheel and attempted to flee on foot after the vehicle was disabled with a flat tire, but the youth was taken into custody. A passenger, pictured, fled the scene. Police said the unidentified male entered a garage and a residence in Myerstown while hiding from pursuit. He is believed to be 16 to 20 years old and may use the nickname “Raxks.” Police said they believe he is a resident of Lebanon or spends most of his time in or near the city. North Cornwall Township

Vehicle Accident – At 9:05 p.m. Jan. 28, a single-vehicle crash occurred at the intersection of Quentin and Rocherty roads. According to police, Misael Guzman, 21, of Lebanon, was driving north on Quentin Road when the vehicle slid in the snow at a red traffic light and struck a sign. The vehicle sustained light damage and was driven from the scene. Guzman did not sustain any injuries in the crash, police said.

Vehicle Accident – At 2:20 p.m. Jan. 29, a crash occurred at 1121 Quentin Road. According to police, a vehicle driven by Melanie Barr, 46, of Palmyra, was stopped in the southbound lane of Quentin Road in front of T-Mobile when a vehicle driven by Charles Edgar, 41, of Lebanon, struck the rear of Barr’s car. Both vehicles sustained minor damage, police said, but neither driver was injured.

Harassment – At 4:06 p.m. Jan. 30, a domestic incident between a man and a woman was reported in the 500 block of West Walnut Street in Cleona. Police resolved the altercation, then cited Todd Eric Stauffer, 38, of Cleona, for allegedly twisting the victim’s wrists and hands, causing redness and pain. 

North Lebanon Township

DUI – At 2:04 a.m. Jan. 30, state troopers arrested Ashley Beare, 29, of Lebanon, for driving under the influence of alcohol at Ebenezer Road and Perry Street, according to a report.

Drug Possession – At 1:19 a.m. Jan. 30, a 31-year-old Lebanon man, name not provided, was arrested at Mountville and Moritz drives for possession of a controlled substance.

North Londonderry Township

Summary Harassment – North Londonderry Township Police Department filed charges against a 15-year-old Palmyra female after an incident at Palmyra Area High School, 1125 Park Drive, at 10:44 a.m. Jan. 31. According to the report, the girl was cited for summary harassment after punching another student in the face with a closed fist in the school cafeteria.

Disorderly Conduct – North Londonderry Township Police Department filed a charge of misdemeanor disorderly conduct against a 16-year-old Palmyra female for her involvement in a fight at 11:58 a.m. Jan. 24 at Palmyra Area High School, 1125 Park Drive, with another female student and her disruptive behavior with school officials and students. The other student, also 16, was cited with summary disorderly conduct for her involvement in this incident.

Swatara Township

Criminal Mischief Under $1,000 – PSP Jonestown responded to Quarry Road for a report of paint damage to a white 1994 Chevrolet Camaro. According to the report, a 35-year-old Lebanon man said someone scratched or chipped the vehicle between 4 p.m. Jan. 26 and 5:15 p.m. Jan. 28. Union Township

Theft By Deception – At noon on Jan. 25, a 43-year-old Fredericksburg man reported a theft at PSP Jonestown. According to the report, an unknown individual deposited two checks totaling $8,400 into the victim’s bank account, then withdrew $4,000 from the victim’s account. The victim was later advised by the bank that the checks were fraudulent.
