Seven Cuz Beer Store opened at Quentin Crossing, 1960 Quentin Road, on Monday, Feb. 7, after a whirlwind weekend move that saw seven truckloads of retail product shuttled from the store’s former location in the Cedar Crest Square shopping mall.

Store manager Jeremy Miller helps a customer check out at the new location in Quentin Crossings.

The moving process was no easy feat to achieve with such little store downtime, but Tina Grove, director of operations for parent company Musser’s Inc., said achieving such a quick transition was the goal from the get-go.

Customers, she said, are excited about the results and “love the new look.”

A variety of chilled beers are available in the massive walk-in cooler, which also offers easy access from within the store.

Groundbreaking of the new Quentin Crossings complex occurred in August, with LebTown visiting shortly thereafter to meet with a couple of the “seven cousins” of the Musser family who launched the store in March 2018.

Seven Cuz gets its name from the seven cousins of the Musser family. The store originally opened its previous Cedar Crest Square location in March 2018.

At the time, the store was adjacent to the Musser’s Grocery Store at the Cedar Crest shopping center, which has since been converted into a Giant following a 2019 acquisition.

The Mussers have long had a real estate side to their business, but in the Quentin Crossings development they are meshing the two sides and serving as their own anchor tenant.

Buildout of the rest of the Quentin Crossings development continues, with Paul Risk Construction serving as the contractor.

The new location provides everything customers came to expect at the original location – slushies, cigars, and the county’s largest selection of craft beer – along with some additions in these areas as well, such as doubling the number of slushy flavors, expanding the selection of cigars, and offering more space for samplings.

Slushy selection at the new location has been doubled from six flavors to 12, including some prefilled options for grab-and-go shopping.
The new Seven Cuz location offers an expanded selection of cigars via the store’s humidor.

The store buildout includes a number of design touches unique to the new location, such as a redesigned logo featuring an upside-down hops bud with seven leaves, signifying the seven cousins behind the venture. The logo was designed by H&H Group of Lancaster.

The hop nugget featured in the store’s new logo has seven leaves, representing the seven cousins behind the venture.

The quick construction and buildout was accomplished by Paul Risk Construction and electricians Blatt and Myers Inc. Grove also gave a shoutout to Ace Distributing and Wilsbach Distributors for helping to offer such a wide selection of suds at the store.

Through February, Seven Cuz is holding a variety of giveaways to help bring people into the new location. They also sent out magnet mailers to 20,000 homes in the area offering incentivized pricing for Miller Lite, Coors Light, and craft beers.

Seven Cuz is offering special pricing and giveaways through February to help bring customers into the new location.

The store is open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Mondays to Saturdays, and Sundays from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.
