A Lebanon County hospital administrator and city school director has been chosen to fill an unexpired term on the Lebanon County Board of Commissioners.
In a Friday afternoon press release, Lebanon County President Judge John C. Tylwalk announced that Michael J. Kuhn was unanimously selected by the Board of Judges to fill the remainder of the term previously held by the late Bill Ames.

Kuhn was selected from two dozen Republican applicants for the position. By law, the appointee must be from the same political party as the person he is replacing.
According to the release, the Board of Judges conducted an interview process this week to arrive at their selection.

The release included a brief bio of Kuhn:
Mr. Kuhn is a lifelong resident of Lebanon County and resides in the City of Lebanon. He is the Director of Development at the WellSpan Good Samaritan Hospital, where he’s been employed for over 36 years. He served 28 years as a member of the Lebanon School Board and has served on numerous civic organizations throughout the community over the last 45 years. He is married to Yvonne, his wife of 30 years and they have three grown children.
Kuhn will be sworn in Tuesday, Feb. 22, at 11 a.m. in the Lebanon County Courthouse.
