United Way of Lebanon County will make $100,000 in grants to local nonprofits, funding impact-based programs in several areas.
The grants will be focused on local efforts that fit into the following domains:
- Connecting families to community resources to help them improve their economic self-dependence.
- Removing barriers to learning for our most vulnerable children because education is the path to self-dependence.
- Giving all children a strong start in life.
“As we continue to evaluate the changing needs in our community, we are proud to make critical funding available to meet the needs of our most vulnerable neighbors,” United Way board president Andrew Demler said in the release.
Grants will be awarded in a volunteer-driven process by UWLC’s Community Impact Committee. Organizations must meet certain eligibility requirements to be considered, including 501(c)(3) tax status and non-discrimination policies for both staff as well as the populations served. Funding must also be used to directly benefit Lebanon County residents.
Applications are due by noon Friday, April 8. The application and full eligibility requirements can be accessed via the United Way’s website.
