Fort Indiantown Gap will host trainings this month that could result in increased noise levels for Lebanon County residents.

Demolition training will be held Saturday, April 9, to Monday, April 11, between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m., and then again on Saturday, April 30, between 8 a.m. and 7 p.m.

Fort Indiantown Gap will also host water bucket training on Tuesday, April 5, between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. Helicopter crews will practice by retrieving water from Memorial Lake and dumping it in a nearby field.

Fort Indiantown Gap is the only live-fire and maneuver military base in Pennsylvania. It is considered the nation’s largest National Guard training facility by number of mandays trained – close to one million annually.
