The hills of Mount Gretna will once again be alive with lots and lots of music, according to Gretna Music‘s new 2022 summer performance schedule.

The lineup spans genres and program types, from a night of jazz with multiple-Grammy winner Bob James (who was discovered by Quincy Jones) to a pay-what-you-will morning gospel service to an evening of Schumann, Brahms, and Reger with three of classical music’s brightest young talents.

Gretna Music For Kids (GM4K) is also back with a lineup of three Saturday morning shows geared around children’s tastes and interest. The perfect chance for a hefty dose of the arts, perhaps followed up by a serving of ice cream at the one and only Jigger Shop. Any youth who attends all three shows will get to pick a prize at the final GM4K show on Saturday, Sept. 3. GM4K is also hosting Monday sing-alongs for families this summer in the Chautauqua’s Hall of Philosophy on July 18, Aug. 1, and Aug. 15.

Ticket prices vary depending on program, ranging from $5-$42. Additionally, $5 tickets are available for ages 18 and under and adults who bring a young person, plus half price tickets for ages 30 and under. For tickets and more information, call 717-361-1508 or visit Gretna Music on the web at gretnamusic.org.
