A bridge replaced last year along Route 422 in Jackson Township will be paved in a two-week night project starting Sunday, May 15, PennDOT announced.
Paving will take place starting Sunday, May 15, around 6 p.m. and run for the next two weeks each night from 6 p.m. until 6 a.m. Lane restrictions will be in place while paving is ongoing.
The bridge spans Owl Creek, just west of Martin Road, on Route 422 east of Myerstown. The bridge – actually two bridges – was constructed with single-span prestressed concrete spread box beam bridge structures and approach slabs.
The Owl Creek bridge was replaced along with another bridge between Scenic and Ramona drives in a $3 million project, contracted by PennDOT to Kevin E. Raker Construction. That bridge was completed last year.
