If you happen to see parachuters headed toward northern Lebanon County later this week, don’t worry – this isn’t Red Dawn. It’s just another byproduct of living near the nation’s largest National Guard training facility by number of mandays trained – close to one million annually.
An out-of-state unit will be in town this week to conduct several airborne training jumps.
Fort Indiantown Gap has two designated drop zones, DZ Wyatt and DZ West Field, with water obstacles close to both.
Although times of the jumps aren’t being released to the public, Fort Indiantown Gap does expect to share some photos of the training events, which LebTown will be sharing with you once they are available.
