Editor’s Note: Last year, Michael and Nicole Borrell began reviewing Lebanon Valley’s restaurants and eating attractions as the Lebanon Valley Food Critics. Since then, the couple has aimed to offer unbiased reviews of the eating and drinking establishments the Lebanon Valley has to offer. LebTown is pleased to be partnering with LVFC to share these reviews with our readers. Bon appétit!

That fateful time has come – lunchtime during a busy day at the office. I decided to grab lunch from a food truck today as I knew where one was set up.

On Thursdays, Cheezy Grill is set up at Sunset on N. 7th St. The menu offers several sandwich options that are “made just for you,” as well as a create your own option where you can get creative.

For today’s lunch, I chose the Kimberly Special ($8), mozzarella, smokey turkey, hot buffalo wing sauce, mushrooms, and marinara sauce on wheat bread. I also ordered a medium mac & cheese lasagna ($3.5).

The sandwich comes with two slices of deli turkey. It would have been nicer with more meat. The buffalo sauce and the marinara was a surprising taste. With the thin bread, the sandwich comes off as compressed.

The mac & cheese lasagna needed some salt added. It was hard to taste the cheese part and came off more as a beefaroni. Still, this “poor man’s lasagna” was good.

Our take: The Cheezy Grill offers several sandwiches and a create your own option. They offer different bread options but would be better if they used thicker bread. Our sandwich would have been better if we swapped out the mozzarella for cheddar. There are also some sides dishes to go with the sandwiches.

We give this place ???.
