HACC will offer a new program locally this summer in the high-demand field of phlebotomy, and funding may be available to eligible Lebanon County residents.
The program will be offered from July 18 to Nov. 3 at HACC’s Lebanon campus.
Phlebotomists are frontline healthcare support professionals who draw blood for tests, transfusions, or blood donations. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the median pay for a phlebotomists is just shy of $40,000 annually, with the 2020-2030 job outlook for the field expected to grow 22%, “much faster than average.”
HACC’s Phlebotomy Technician Certificate prepares students to take the National Health Career Association Phlebotomy Technician certification examination, which is included in the cost of tuition for the program.
