Editor’s Note: Last year, Michael and Nicole Borrell began reviewing Lebanon Valley’s restaurants and eating attractions as the Lebanon Valley Food Critics. Since then, the couple has aimed to offer unbiased reviews of the eating and drinking establishments the Lebanon Valley has to offer. LebTown is pleased to be partnering with LVFC to share these reviews with our readers. Bon appétit!

We had a long day on the road as the critic crew went to Easton and the Crayola Experience. After a day like this, we didn’t want to make dinner. I know, shocker, right?

As we tossed out ideas, we settled on Italian and decided to dine at Martino’s Italian Traditions. Located along Route 72 north of Ebenezer, this standalone spot has a stone parking lot to the front.

A newer establishment in the Valley, Martino’s offers lunch and dinner options with an indoor dining area and takeout as well. Orders are placed at the counter, but food will be brought to you. A service charge is added to credit card payments.

For today’s meal we got the Maine lobster ravioli ($20.99) with broccoli soup and homemade eggplant parm ($20.99) with salad.

The lobster ravioli came with six raviolis in a rich blush sauce. I was glad I chose what I did for the sauce alone. Add a little parmesan cheese and you’re good to go. The broccoli soup tasted freshly homemade. Not the best choice on a warm summer day, but I’m going to get it again.

The eggplant parm comes with a healthy portion on a medium slice of eggplant paired with spaghetti. It’s been a while since we had eggplant, which used to be a regular dinner in our house. This made us wonder why we stopped making it so much. Both dinners come with crispy, fresh baked bread.

Our take: Martino’s offers a menu of Italian specialty sandwiches and meals. They put together a tasty dish. They do have some monthly specials that rotate. Friendly staff and some authentic cooks in the kitchen make this an enjoyable stop for a relaxed Italian meal.

We give this place ????.
