Penn State’s Center for Science and the Schools will hold a cross-sector summit at Lebanon Valley College in August to explore how educators and business leaders can transform precollege STEM education.

The summit will be held Tuesday, Aug. 9, at Lebanon Valley College’s Mund College Center and Lehr Dining Hall. The agenda kicks off at 11:30 a.m. with a light lunch, followed by mini-keynotes from several folks on the frontlines of STEM education.

The keynotes will be followed by a “speed dating” networking event before closing remarks. The event is expected to wrap up around 2 p.m.

Keynote speakers will include:

  • Sherri McCleary, executive director of the Penn State Digital Foundry at New Kensington.
  • Dr. Demetrius Roberts, director of Teacher and Learning for the Chester County Intermediate Unit.
  • David Walker, lead mentor of the Krypton Cougars.
