Editor’s Note: Last year, Michael and Nicole Borrell began reviewing Lebanon Valley’s restaurants and eating attractions as the Lebanon Valley Food Critics. Since then, the couple has aimed to offer unbiased reviews of the eating and drinking establishments the Lebanon Valley has to offer. LebTown is pleased to be partnering with LVFC to share these reviews with our readers. Bon appétit!

Welcome to the second season of our highly anticipated Lebanon Valley “Wing Wars.” This season will feature four locations fighting to be declared the winner of Best Wing in The Valley.

Our judgement will be based upon several factors including: wing sauce/rub flavor, size of wing, how they’re cooked, presentation, and critic impression.

This evening we decided to order wings out due to our busy schedules. And we only had one more stop left so it was off to The Wetlands we go.

This restaurant is located on the grounds of Pine Meadows golf course. They offer a full menu and have a wing special on Sundays at $9.95 an order.

Tonight, we ordered a dozen wings in sweet hot ($13.95), a half dozen in honey old bay ($9.95), and a half dozen in mild garlic. Dipping sauce and celery are included.

The traditional wings were a smaller size compared to the other entrants. But they did take me back to my days in college and the wing night special off campus. They were fried well and even with the ride back to Lebanon, they were still a good temperature to eat.

The sauces were generously applied to each order. The sweet hot could have had more heat. The honey old bay is a unique flavor option which has a nice touch of honey flavor.

Our final impression:

  • Smaller wings that are fried well.
  • Nice sauce selection, limited rub options.
  • Sunday wing special that is all day.

And just like that, we have come to the end of our second season of Wing Wars. Who will be our winner? Keep an eye out as we will reveal a winner shortly between The K-Ville Tavern, The Gin Mill, Frog’s Hollow, and today’s entrant, The Wetlands.
