LebTown features a different Lebanon County pet each Friday to help us enter the weekend with the best vibes possible.
The Pet of the Week sometimes features a local furbaby who already lives in a happy Lebanon County home. Other times the column will spotlight an animal that’s available for adoption through a local shelter and is seeking a forever family.
This week, meet adoptable Annie!
Annie, according to Pitties.Love.Peace rep Mika Stiefel, is a 1-year-old female with one (mostly) blue eye.
She’s a “snuggle bug,” Mika says, with a “happy but timid demeanor.” That means she values patience and “slow introductions” when coming into a new situation, Mika explains.
Annie also enjoys wrestling with doggy friends, is food-motivated and eager to learn, and is crate-trained — she views her crate as “her safe space,” Mika says. Also, she says, “sticks are life” in Annie’s view.
“Her ideal household has at least one other playful and confident dog for her to learn from,” Mika notes. Because Annie is nervous “around the big energy of small children,” the right home will have no kids younger than 10.
She’s “looking for an active family committed to ongoing training and socialization to keep her on track to being her very best,” Mika says. “If you think Annie could be a fit for your household, please click over to www.pittieslovepeace.com to submit your online application.”
