Fight, Shots Fired – At approximately 11:30 p.m. April 19, police responded to a fight on the 400 block of North 9th Street. Police located a subject believed to be involved in the fight, which they confirmed after reviewing video surveillance of the incident. The suspect was intoxicated, attempted to escape from the police, and, as it was later determined, provided a false name. Additionally, while reviewing the video, police observed the suspect fire a gun at a vehicle fleeing the scene. A witness also reported seeing the suspect with a gun during the incident. The suspect was identified as Jean Lafleur, 36, with no known address. Police transported Lafleur to LCCB to await arraignment on the firearm, drug, and other charges. The investigation into the incident is ongoing. Anyone with any information is asked to call Lebanon City police or submit information through Lebanon City CRIMEWATCH.

Robbery Suspect Arrested – At approximately 11:30 p.m. April 21, police on patrol observed several people attempting to get the officer’s attention from the doorway of Montro Grocery-Bodega, 625 Lehman St. The officer was told that a robbery had just occurred at the location. Witnesses directed the officer in the direction that the suspect had fled. Moments later, a short distance from the scene, the officer found the suspect, Jorge Pereira-Sepulveda, 34, of Lebanon, and took him into custody. A clerk had been assaulted during the robbery and was transported to a Dauphin County medical facility for treatment of a non-life-threatening gunshot wound. Police transported Pereira-Sepulveda to LCCB to await arraignment on robbery, assault, and firearms charges. The firearm was recovered by police. The investigation is open. Anyone who witnessed the incident or has information regarding it is asked to contact Lebanon City police or submit information through Lebanon City CRIMEWATCH.

Fleeing or Attempting to Elude Officer, Careless Driving, Required Financial Responsibility – On April 15, police charged Awildo Lopez-Maldonado, 40, with fleeing or attempting to elude officer, careless driving, operating without a proper class of license, required financial responsibility, not wearing proper headgear on motorcycle, and not discontinue signal after police attempted to stop him for a traffic violation on the 1200 block of Maple Street. When police activated their emergency lights and siren, Lopez-Maldonado accelerated his motorcycle at a high rate of speed. He passed a car on its left and then passed three more cars on its right while traveling north on Route 72 in an attempt to evade police.

Simple Assault – On April 8, police charged Erick Cruz-Lopez, 24, with simple assault after he was involved in an argument with a female on the 100 block of North 9th Street. During the argument, Cruz-Lopez bit the female on the face twice, causing injury.

Escape, False ID to Law Enforcement Authorities, Drug Possession – On April 6, police charged Matthew Gunnells, 35, with escape, false ID to law enforcement authorities, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of a controlled substance after police saw him on the 1100 block of Jackson Blvd. Police took Gunnells into custody for active warrants and he was transported to LCCB. During transport, Gunnells gave a false name to an officer and, as police were removing him from the vehicle, he began to run from the officer. Gunnells was captured on South 9th Street after a brief foot chase.

Jackson Township

Vehicle Accident, Obedience to Traffic-Control Devices – At approximately 11:15 a.m. April 14, police responded to Jackson Recreational Park for a single-vehicle crash. Police found that the driver, a 37-year-old Myerstown man, had a cramp in his right leg and, while attempting to stretch, his 1995 Honda Civic exited the road and traveled approximately 30 feet before striking a tree. The man was wearing a seatbelt and reported no injuries. Police charged him with obedience to traffic-control devices.

North Lebanon Township

Harassment – Police charged a 25-year-old Lebanon man with harassment at 9:50 p.m. April 13 after he slapped his niece in the face.

Criminal Trespass – Police charged Thomas Beard, 33, of Lebanon, with criminal trespass at 7 a.m. Feb. 16 after he entered an apartment on the 500 block of Weavertown Road.

Retail Theft – Police charged Elghie Paguada-Hodson, 25, of Lebanon, and Eka Connoly-Chow, 32, of Lebanon, with retail theft at 3:20 p.m. March 31 after they failed to pay for $855.27 worth of merchandise.

Vehicle Accident – A 27-year-old Palmyra woman and a 79-year-old Lebanon man were involved in a crash on April 15 on the 400 block of Cumberland Street.

North Londonderry Township

Vehicle Accident, Limitations on Turning Around – At 3:03 p.m. April 19, a vehicle driven by a 31-year-old Palmyra man attempted to make a U-turn and was struck by a vehicle driven by a 30-year-old Palmyra woman, as both vehicles were traveling south on Lingle Avenue. No injuries were reported. Both vehicles were towed from the scene. Police charged the Palmyra man with limitations on turning around and registration and certification of title required.

Criminal Mischief – Police are investigating a criminal mischief incident that occurred between 4 p.m. April 18 and 7:15 a.m. April 19 at Barrington Court, Palmyra. On the morning of April 19, a 28-year-old Palmyra man noticed the front windshield of his vehicle had been smashed. Anyone with any information regarding this incident is asked to contact North Londonderry Township police.

Drug Possession – At 6 p.m. April 7, police charged Clinton Conrad, 33, of Annville, with possession of a controlled substance (meth), possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia after police contacted him to check on his well-being on the 200 block of Campbelltown Road.

Palmyra Borough

Obstruction, Resisting Arrest, Disorderly Conduct, Public Drunkenness – At 8:42 p.m. March 9, police responded to Sheetz, 811 E. Main St., for reports of a male who brandished a firearm while in a vehicle. Police later located the male and his vehicle on the 300 block of North Railroad Street and identified him as Manuel Rivera, 21. Police determined that Rivera did not have a concealed weapons permit and was not eligible for one due to prior charges. Rivera was visibly intoxicated and tried to obstruct and resist officers during the investigation to the degree that he was placed under arrest. A search warrant was later approved for Rivera’s vehicle, and a loaded firearm was recovered. Police charged Rivera with obstruction, resisting arrest, disorderly conduct, and public drunkenness. A charge of firearms not to be carried without a license was added at the preliminary hearing.

PFA Order Violation – On April 13, police received a complaint of a Protection From Abuse order violation that occurred on the 400 block of West Main Street. The complainant advised that she had filed for a PFA order against Donovan Davis, 21. The complainant stated that Davis had been to the residence and verbally abused her. After verifying that the PFA order was valid and had been served on Davis, police responded to the area to take Davis into custody. Davis was contacted by cellphone, and he turned himself in. Davis was transported to LCCB for arraignment. Police charged Davis with one count of contempt for violation of order or agreement (PFA violation), which is an ungraded misdemeanor.  

Bad Checks – On April 11, a non-traffic citation was filed with MDJ Garver’s office, charging a 37-year-old Palmyra man with one count of bad checks – general. On Feb. 14, the man made out a check to the Borough of Palmyra, which was returned due to insufficient funds. Attempts were made to contact the man, and no response was given.  

Driving While Suspended, Driving with Expired Registration – At approximately 6:17 a.m. April 5, police initiated a traffic stop on the 700 block of East Main Street on a black Mazda sedan for expired registration. Police identified the driver of the vehicle as Juan Navedo, 46, who has a DUI-suspended driver’s license. Due to the number of prior offenses that Navedo has for this violation, the crime was upgraded to a misdemeanor of the third degree. Charges of driving while suspended (DUI-related) and driving with expired registration were filed on April 14 through MDJ Garver’s office.  

South Lebanon Township

False Intruder Alarm – At approximately 7:47 a.m. April 20, police responded to Cedar Crest High School for an intruder alarm. Police arrived at the campus within three to four minutes and assisted the Cornwall-Lebanon school resource officers in searching and clearing the high school and middle school. Additional officers from surrounding agencies assisted. The alarm was determined to be false.

South Londonderry Township

Vehicle Accident – At 1:16 p.m. April 14, a Buick Enclave driven by a 55-year-old Palmyra woman exited the road and struck a PennDOT sign on the 2100 block of South Forge Road. The woman said that she swerved to avoid an animal. No injuries were reported. The vehicle was towed from the scene.

Vehicle Accident – At 5:26 p.m. April 14, police responded to the 200 block of Farmhouse Lane after a vehicle exited the road and struck a mailbox and a light pole. It was found that the driver, a 20-year-old Annville woman, had been distracted while traveling east on Farmhouse Lane. No injuries were reported. The vehicle required towing.

Vehicle Accident – At 7:33 a.m. April 17, police responded to South Forge and Hinkle roads for a crash involving a D.B. Fisher school bus. The driver, a 70-year-old Manheim man, proceeded through the intersection without clearance after being stopped at a stop sign and struck a vehicle driven by a 44-year-old Lebanon man. Children were present on the school bus during this time. The Campbelltown Volunteer Fire Department, fire police, and First Aid and Safety Patrol assisted on the scene. No injuries were reported.

Union Township

Vehicle Accident – At approximately 12:30 p.m. April 16, police responded to the 200 block of Fort Swatara Road for a single-vehicle crash. The driver, a 71-year-old Jonestown man, lost control of his 2003 Nissan X-Terra, causing the Nissan to exit its lane, enter the right shoulder, and strike a telephone pole. The Nissan sustained disabling damage. The driver was wearing a seatbelt and reported no injuries.

West Cornwall Township

Simple Assault – On March 27, police charged a 27-year-old woman with simple assault after an incident at a local institution.

West Lebanon Township

Retail Theft – Police charged Matthew Butler, 24, with retail theft at 12:38 p.m. April 1 after he failed to pay for $450.98 worth of merchandise at Boscov’s.
