Bryan B. Sutherly, 96, of Annville, passed away on Sunday, February 19, 2023, at the VA Medical Center, Lebanon. He was the husband of the late Jeanette E. Sutherly, to whom he had been married for 64 years until her passing in 2016.

Born in Bethel Twp. on April 6, 1926, he was the son of the late Alonzo and Geneva (Brown) Sutherly.

Bryan served in the Army during WWII. He worked for College Hill Poultry, Broad Street Market, Harrisburg, and was a USDA red meat and poultry inspector. After retirement, he worked for Supreme Trucking and Kapp Advertising. Bryan was a Mason, and in November 2022, he was recognized as a 50-year member of the Zembo Shrine. He was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Fredericksburg, the Fredericksburg Lions Club, and he helped with Hinklefest. He loved hunting and fishing. He won awards for trapshooting and bowling.

He is survived by his children: Robert, husband of Jayne Sutherly, of Lebanon, Brenda McKelvin, of Palmyra, Edward, husband of Laura Sutherly, of Fredericksburg, and Lisa, wife of Saul Alvarez, FL; grandchildren, Jennifer Grubb, Jason Swoyer, Tina Mongkon, Lauren McIntyre, Jessica McKelvin, and Capri Alvarez; great-grandchildren, Kaila, Eliza, and Haley Grubb, Colby and Audriana Mongkon, and Brianna Swoyer; and brothers, Curtis Sutherly, of Fredericksburg, and Ronald Sutherly, of SC.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Allen Sutherly, and sisters, Viola Narozny and Joanna Weatherholtz.

Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Monday, February 27, 2023, at Kreamer & Lum Funeral home & Crematory, Rt. 72 & Camp Meeting Rd., Jonestown. A viewing will begin at 9:30 a.m. to the start of the service. Interment with military honors will follow at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.
