Carol A. Martin, 73, of Annville, passed away Wednesday, February 8, 2023, at her residence. She was the loving wife of John A. Martin, to whom she was married for 51 ½ years.

Born in Hershey, she was the daughter of Christine (Unger) Smith of Annville and the late Russell Smith.

Carol graduated from the nursing program at Reading Hospital, and later earned her bachelor’s degree in nursing. She retired in 2017 from the Lebanon VA Medical Center, where she had worked as an RN for 28 years. She was a member of the Annville United Methodist Church, Bellegrove Fire Company, and was the former vice president of the AC Music Boosters. Carol enjoyed playing the bells and percussion with the Washington Band. She also enjoyed reading, camping, traveling, needlecraft, sewing, and crocheting. She loved spending time with her dogs, Elle and Lucy, and listening to ’60s music.

In addition to her husband, John, she is survived by three children, Amy, wife of Brendan Carr, of West Chester, Lisa Black, of Annville, and Daniel Martin, and wife, Christine, of Cleona; two grandchildren, Elijah and Sadie; one brother, Ken Smith, and wife, Denise, of Annville.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, February 16, 2023, at 11 AM from Annville United Methodist Church, 1 College Ave., Annville. Interment will follow at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery. Viewings will be held Wednesday evening from 6-8 PM from Kreamer Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 618 E. Main St., Annville, and on Thursday morning from 10 AM until the time of her service at the Church.
