Gloria M. Kettering-Howard, 94, of Lebanon, passed away on Sunday, February 26th, 2023, at her residence with her loving family and caregiver by her side. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Russell L. Kettering, and her late husband, Alfred J. Howard.

Born in Lebanon, PA, on July 2nd, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Edward A. and Marguerite E. (Rhen) Souilliard.

Gloria graduated from Lebanon High School in the class of 1946. She was part owner and secretary-treasurer of Simon S. Kettering & Sons, Inc. Goodyear Tires & Service Center, retiring in 1999. Gloria was also a seamstress, as she took in sewing and alterations and designed most of her own clothing and Polka outfits. She was a member of the Polka Pals of Lebanon, Dutchland Polkateers, Capital City Polka Association, White Rose of York, St. Laurence Club No. 13 of Steelton, Friendship Fire Co., Senior Center of Lebanon Valley, AAA, AARP, Lebanon Elks #631, Annville Seniors and the Over 50 Club. She was a member of St. Mark’s United Church of Christ, Lebanon.

Surviving is three sons, Scott S. Kettering, partner of Lance, of Sarasota, FL, Craig C. Kettering, husband of Donna, of Venice, FL, Brian P. Kettering, husband of Kelly, of Lebanon, a stepdaughter, Rita Haag, wife of Tim, of Lebanon, six grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and 10 step-grandchildren.

In addition to her late husbands, Gloria was preceded in death by a brother, Earl E. Souilliard, two sisters, Elaine Trompeter and Faye Yost, two stepsons, Frances Howard and Tom Howard, and a stepdaughter, Anna Speraw.

A public viewing will be held from 10:00 AM-11:00 AM on Friday, March 3rd, 2023, at St. Mark’s UCC, 426 N. 8th St., Lebanon, PA 17046. Funeral Services will begin at 11:00 AM at the Church. Interment will be held at Mt. Lebanon Cemetery.
