Hilda Jane Eckenroth, of Lebanon, passed away on Thursday, December 29, 2022, at MS Hershey Medical Center. She was 90 years old.
Hilda was born September 9, 1932, in North Londonderry Township, Lebanon County, to the late William K. and Jennie (Shearer) Rott.
She was a 1950 Hummelstown High School graduate. She had worked as a postal worker for The US Postal Service in Annville for 15 years. She was a member of Ono United Methodist Church. She enjoyed traveling, baking, reading, doing crossword puzzles, and playing pinochle. She was a loving and caring mother and grandmother.
She is survived by her children, Barry E. McCord (Marcia) of Palmyra, Teresa L. Peterson (Dennis) of Burlington, WI, Donna M. Hoke (Joseph) of Lebanon, Tracey J. Lutz (Gerry) of Greer, SC, David L. Eckenroth of Steelton, and Gregory R. Eckenroth (Jodi) of Jonestown, 17 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren, and a brother, Abraham Rott.
She was predeceased by her siblings, Joseph Spangler, Beulah Anna Rott, William H. Rott, Elizabeth Feaser, Stella Rott, Kathryn Maulfair, Edward August Rott, Adele Haberkorn, and Robert David Rott.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 5, 2023, at 11 AM at Kreamer Funeral Home and Crematory Inc., 618 E. Main Street, Annville. Interment will be in Gravel Hill Cemetery, Palmyra. There will be a viewing from 10 AM until 11 AM at the funeral home.
