Dr. Lawrence B. Murphy, 83, of Lebanon, passed away Saturday, September 5, 2020 at Spring Creek Health & Rehab Center. He was the husband of Ann P. (Proebsting) Murphy.
Born in Boston, MA on February 19, 1937, Lawrence was a son of the late Cornelius and Nina (Kelly) Murphy. He was a member of St. Paul the Apostle Church in Annville. Lawrence owned and operated an insurance company for many years. He enjoyed reading books, especially mystery novels and science fiction.
In addition to his wife, Lawrence is survived by three children, Deborah M. Murphy, Jennifer M. Mellinger, and Nicholas B. Murphy; 15 grandchilren; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was the last of his immediate family.
Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 10, 2020 at St. Paul’s Church, 125 S. Spruce St., Annville, PA 17003. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.
