Rose Marie DeFilippis, 81, of Lebanon, passed away Wednesday, February 22, 2023, at Juniper Village, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born June 6, 1941, to the late Joseph Scala and Mary Scala nee Barzano in Dover, New Jersey.
Rose Marie lived most of her life in Boonton, NJ, until recently moving to Lebanon to be closer to her family. Rose loved flowers, car rides, shopping, and spending time with her friends. She was a peer coordinator while at Juniper Village and stayed busy helping others while there. She was a hard worker and held many jobs, with her latest being a waitress and hostess at Il Villaggio’s before her retirement.
Rose is survived by her sister, Joan M. Miller, and spouse, Richard; niece, Jennifer Gregg, and spouse, Jerry; nephew, Gregory Hicks; great-nephews, Steven Boepple, Benjamin Boepple, Justin Boepple, and Reginald Hicks; and great-nieces, Michelle Boepple and Emma Michael.
She is predeceased by her beloved husband, Eugene Defilippis.
Visitation/Memorial services will be held on March 9, 2023 at Christman’s Funeral Home, Inc., 226 Cumberland Street, Lebanon. Visitation will be held at 10:00 AM, with Memorial services starting promptly at 11:00 AM. Burial will take place at Locust Hill Cemetery in Dover, New Jersey.
