Steven D. “Steve” Light, 70, of Lebanon, passed away on Wednesday, March 29, 2023, at Select Specialty Hospital in Harrisburg. Steve was the husband of Vickie M. (Minnich) Light, with whom he would have celebrated 49 years of marriage this coming June.
Steve was born in Lebanon on August 17, 1952, to the late Thomas Light, Sr., and June (Dundore) Light.
He worked at the Lebanon post office as a letter carrier for 35 years, and at Harding Elementary as security for 10 plus years. Steve adored Vickie and loved his family and friends. He also loved sports, mostly NFL and college basketball. He enjoyed working outside in the yard and taking care of his flower beds. He took care of his adopted cat family. Steve enjoyed visiting Cape May and Aruba. He will be remembered for being kind, generous, and helping anyone who asked.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, is a sister, Linda Light; sister-in-law, Sharon Faiola (Dominic); brothers-in-law, Kerry Minnich, and Larry Minnich (Kathy); and aunts, uncles, and nephews.
He was preceded in death by siblings, Rev. Thomas Light, Jr., and Barbara Light.
A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, April 4, 2023, at 6 PM at Kreamer Funeral Home and Crematory Inc., 618 E. Main Street, Annville. Interment will be held privately at Holy Cross Cemetery, Lebanon. There will be a visitation from 5 PM – 6 PM at the funeral home on Tuesday evening. Those in attendance for the visitation and the memorial service are required to wear masks.
