Susan L. Zimmerman, 78, of Fredericksburg, passed away on Monday, March 6, 2023, at the Hershey Medical Center. She was the wife of the late Phaon R. “Bob” Zimmerman.
Born in Clarksburg, WV, on February 12, 1945, she was the daughter of the late Dorothy Glassner Albright.
Susan retired from the H. B. Reese Candy Co., where she was a line worker. She was a member of the Outwood Lutheran Church. Susan especially enjoyed working in her yard and doing puzzles.
She is survived by her sons, David E., husband of Kim Zimmerman, of Annville, and Jeffrey R. Zimmerman; daughter, Sharon L. Mease, of Lebanon; brothers, Richard Spitler, of Mt. Holly, NJ, and George Spitler, of Citrus Springs, FL; sisters, Sharon Finlayson, of Merchantville, NJ, Leslie Toole, of Alpharetta, GA, and Donna Spitler, of Citrus Spring, FL; and her grandchildren, Nichole, Joshua, Kristen, Haley, Regan, Tyler, and Lukas.
She was preceded in death by her oldest son, Michael D. Zimmerman.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 11, 2023, at 3 p.m. at the Kreamer & Lum Funeral Home & Crematory, Jonestown. A viewing will be held one hour prior to the service. Interment will be held at the convenience of the family at the Outwood Lutheran Church Cemetery.
