As a lifelong Lebanon County resident, Dawn Blauch was raised with and has fought to retain our strong values. Dawn’s parents, Richard and Carol Kuhnert, instilled in her how to be a passionate public servant and, as firefighters to respect all life and property.

Today, Dawn’s experience working in code and zoning enforcement, as well as her concern for the preservation of property rights, are the experiences we need to be Lebanon County’s next Recorder of Deeds.

“There is nothing more fundamental to the rights of Americans than the inherent right to own real property, and the Recorder of Deeds is the first line of defense in ensuring that our homes and property are respected and protected,” Blauch said.

“The recorded deed is the legally recognized document that specifically says your property is truly yours,” she said. “With the growing use of easements for everything from utility services to, stormwater and imposed conservation preservation, accurately recorded deeds are increasingly critical to providing property owners with peace of mind.”

A noted opponent of the South Londonderry Township Comprehensive Plan, Blauch spent years learning about zoning and planning, after which she secured her current position as Code & Zoning Enforcement officer for the township. Consequently, she has seen first-hand the complexity of property regulations and the impact they have on township residents. Dawn has been an active voice advising federal, state and local officials about these impacts on the residents in her township, and will continue to be a voice for county residents.

“Implementing codes and zoning regulations requires significant familiarity with the many rules that are often imposed on tax paying property owners,” Blauch added.

“As a consequence, it has been necessary to be both sensitive and upfront with property owners.”

Blauch is a graduate of Lebanon High School, and has served her community in a variety of capacities, including Lawn Fire Company and the Boy Scouts. Her parents Richard and Carol Kuhnert instilled in her to be a passionate public servant. Dawn has the experience and is excited to serve every Lebanon County resident as the Next Recorder of Deeds.
