Memorial Day. Fourth of July. Veterans Day.

For many of us, these special days give us a chance to stop, pause, and remember the deceased, and the deployed family members who served our are serving our country in the military. It is a chance to gather with friends and family and pause for a brief time to honor the thousands of men and women who fought and died, or are fighting now, for the freedom we all enjoy in our day to day lives as Americans.

Some suggestions:

  • If you display a flag on your property, fly it at half-staff until noon, to honor our fallen heroes.
  • Create your own “Moment of Holiday Remembrance.” Whatever you are doing at 3 p.m. on the holiday, ask everyone around you to stop for a moment of silent prayer in their honor.

Our thanks go out the military families in our area we have been privileged to serve over our years in business.

We always handle all the details of funeral services with full military honors and make all the arrangements for interment at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery or arrange for full military honors at other locations.

It’s the least we can do for our American heroes.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, the Indiantown Gap National Cemetery has temporarily changed their policies regarding military funerals and visitations in the interest of everyone’s safety. Please call me at 717-272-7431 or visit www.christmansfuneralhome.com if you have questions about this.
