Tour de Lebanon Valley will be rolling through the scenic countryside of Lebanon County this Saturday, June 12. Cyclists can still register on the day of the event and the various routes are ideal for beginners and families, as well as avid cyclists.

Tour de Lebanon Valley participants can choose from three routes, including a beautiful metric century (62 miles), a rolling mid-distance (30 miles) or a fun family ride (6 miles). Routes wind past local farmlands, forests and historical sites. The metric century and mid-distance routes cover rolling terrain with moderate elevation change and the family ride takes place on the Lebanon Valley Rail Trail. “It’s not too late to bring your family out for the ride and it looks like it’s going to be a beautiful day,” shared Laurie Crawford, executive director of the Lebanon Valley Conservancy and committee member for the event. “It’s $5 per person for the family ride and Making a Difference will be there with fun games, prizes and a raffle for the kids after the ride!” Each participant in the family ride will also receive a free pass to the Cornwall Iron Furnace.

All Tour de Lebanon participants will begin at the Lebanon Valley Expo Center & Fairgrounds at 80 Rocherty Road, with staggered start times for physical distancing. Routes are well marked and include rest stops and mechanical support. Children 16 years of age and under must be accompanied by an adult and helmets are required for all participants. The cost for the Tour De Lebanon family ride is $5 per person and the metric century and mid-distance rides are $55 per person. Although online registration is closed, cash or check will be accepted on ride day. The event will take place, rain or shine. Visit www.TourdeLebanonValley.com for additional information, start times and route maps.
