Join us this weekend for the third annual Tower to Town 10-mile Trail Run hosted by The Lebanon Valley Conservancy and Community Health Council of Lebanon County. This year’s COVID edition will feature a course through the forested trails of Mount Gretna and the Lebanon Valley Rail Trail (LVRT). The race will begin and end at the Clarence Shock Memorial Park environmental center.

The racers will begin with a staggered registration and start. “The wider trails and staggered start will give racers room to safely navigate the course in a socially distanced manner,” shared Nicole Maurer, executive director of the Community Health Council of Lebanon County and Tower to Town race director. We invite racers to challenge themselves on this 10-mile trail run. Awards will be given at a virtual award ceremony later in the day.

Monies raised from Tower to Town will benefit the John E. Wengert Memorial Park. “The park is going to be a unique recreational area for Lebanon County… the plan includes a bike safety garden, fitness areas and a beautiful promenade,” explained Laurie Crawford, executive director for The Lebanon Valley Conservancy. “The park will be located along Chestnut Street and will serve as a trailhead for the 8th street Rail Trail,” added Crawford. Proceeds also benefit the Lebanon Valley Conservancy and the Community Health Council.

This year’s title sponsor is UPMC. We would also like to thank this year’s mile sponsors: Run PA, G.F. Bowman, Barr Associates, First Citizen’s Community Bank, Swiss Premium, Fulton Bank, Clearview Financial Partners, and the Blue Bird Inn. It is because of our generous sponsors and a County of Lebanon Hotel Tax grant that we can provide a great event during this challenging year. There is still time to sign up, visit the website www.Towertotownrace.com to register. Race day registrations will also be accepted.
