Two county organizations are pleased to announce the formation of a Lebanon County Workforce Investment Collaborative. The Lebanon Valley Economic Development Corporation (LVEDC) and the Lebanon Valley Chamber of Commerce (LVCC) are partnering to address some of the ongoing workforce needs of Lebanon County employers.
The purpose of the Workforce Investment Collaborative is to identify and prioritize common workforce issues faced by Lebanon County employers and develop solutions to address these issues within the business community. The collaboration will look for short- and long-term actionable items for the county and individual businesses. Topics may include best practices, streamlining operations, technology upgrades, and shared employees among others. Attendees will be invited to discuss their ideas.
This is an employer-driven collaboration to create viable solutions for workforce issues. There is no cost or membership requirement to participate.
The first meeting is scheduled for August 22nd and will be held at the Lebanon County Career and Technology Center cafeteria, 833 Metro Drive, Lebanon. The initial meeting is from 8:00 – 10:00 am. While this is currently open to any Lebanon County employer, it is geared towards businesses with 20 or more employees. This initiative is currently not open to those who provide employment related services.
Future meetings will follow-up on previous discussions and review resources and obstacles to utilization.
