Obesity, unemployment, and access/utilization of public services are all focuses of conversation. Although the data is a couple years old at this point, here’s how priorities looked when the umbrella group convened in 2016.

Previous speakers have included Sherry Capello (mayor of Lebanon), Lewis Thayne (president, Lebanon Valley College), Kenny Montijo (CEO, United Way of Lebanon County), Marianne Bartley (superintendent of Lebanon School District), Alice Yoder (director of Community Health, Lancaster General Health/Penn Medicine), and Holly Dolan (director of education and outreach, Lebanon Family Health Services), Ann Smith (clinical consultant, Caron Treatment Center), and Bob Swanson (executive director, Lebanon County Youth Advocate Programs Inc.).

Better Together was examined last year in the Journal of Clinical and Translation Science for its effective community-engaged approach.

Better Together can be reached at 717-531-1440, via email at bettertogetherlebanon@gmail.com, or found online if you have any questions. The event is also on Facebook.
