Bethel Township

Crash date: March 8, 2019 at 11:19pm
Location: E. Main Street, on N. Pine Grove Street at its with S. Pine Grove Street

This crash occurred as Unit 1, a 2005 Chevrolet Trailblazer driven by a 38 year old Lebanon woman, failed to come to a stop at the posted stop sign while traveling south on Pine Grove St. Unit 1 entered the intersection and was struck in its 3 o’clock position by Unit 2, a 2005 Toyota Sienna driven by a 42 year old Reading man with a 65 year old male passenger. After initial impact Unit 1 continued to travel south/south-east and struck the front porch of the residence having a physical address of 126 E. Main Ave. Unit 1 came to a final rest facing west blocking north bound travel of Pine Grove St. Unit 2 traveled a short distance after initial impact and came to final rest facing south east. Blocking the east bound travel lane of E. Main Ave.

Both units sustained disabling damage from this impact and were towed from the scene by Dale Richards Towing. Fredericksburg Fire department responded to the scene and assisted with traffic management and fluid clean up. First Aid and Safety Patrol of Lebanon transported the front seat passenger of Unit 2 to Reading Hospital for evaluation.

A 24 year old Lebanon man removed candy and pastries from the shelves, concealed the items on his person, walked passed the registers and left the store, failing to pay for $13.73 worth of merchandise.

A 19 year old Lebanon woman was attempting to turn south onto Quentin Road from Rocherty Road and failed to yield the right of way to a 18 year old Lebanon woman who was traveling east on Rocherty Road through the intersection. Both vehicles were driven from the scene and no injuries were reported.

Traffic stop for driving while license is suspended; a 56 year old Lebanon man was charged with Driving License is Suspended or revoked. This is his third and results in criminal charges.

South Lebanon Township

Accident – Two vehicle accident at the intersection of South 5th and South 14th Avenues on March 8, at 1500 hours. A vehicle driven by a 67 year old Lebanon woman was stopped on South 14th Avenue and pulled into the path of a vehicle operated by a 19 year old Lebanon man. The woman was transported from the scene for evaluation. Her car was towed from the scene. The man and his passenger reported no injuries and he was able to drive his vehicle from the scene. The woman was cited for a Stop Sign violation.

South Londonderry Township

On 3/10/2019 at 5:46pm, the South Londonderry Township Police with the assistance of Palmyra Borough and North Londonderry Township Police responded to a report of gun shots fired in the area of the 2700 block of Horseshoe Pike. The caller reported a black Volkswagen hatch back stopped along the roadway and the passenger opened fire. The incident is still under investigation. Anyone with information is asked to contact the South Londonderry Township Police Department at 717-838-1376.

DUI, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and vehicle code violations have been filed in relation to an incident which occurred on January 22nd, 2019 at 10:56pm. On that date officers with the South Londonderry . Township Police Department responded to a suspicious vehicle complaint. Officers located the vehicle operated by a 28 year old Hummelstown man and occupied by a 18 year old Lancaster woman. The man was found to be under the influence of Marijuana and was arrested for DUI, possession of paraphernalia, and vehicle code violations. The woman was found in possession of drug paraphernalia.

A 43 year old Hershey man is charged with having an open bottle of Lemonade Vodka inside his vehicle at the time police made contact with him on February 27, 2019 around 9:46am.

West Cornwall Township

Accident – Occurred Friday, 5:24 PM, on SR 72 North/SR 322 West. Vehicle driven by a 21 year old Manheim man struck a section of guiderail as he was attempting to merge. No injuries. Vehicle was drivable.
